Today’s Team: Weaponized Two
S/S Jademist Dancer (Steam Vent, Rain Dance, Geyser)
S/S De-Weaponized Mechanical Companion (Thrash, Extra Plating, Demolish)
H/P Mountain Skunk (Scratch, Perk Up, Bleat)

Strategy:
After I did the daily battle yesterday I played with yesterday’s team Weaponized for a while and ended up losing quite a few times. The S/S Grasslands Hopper was just too weak. I was still enjoying the Dancer and DMC combo so I replaced the Hopper with the H/P Mountain Skunk for some pretty good heals in the form of Bleat and Perk Up. The Skunk is loaded with Scratch which hits for 339 damage as opposed to the 280 that Hopper’s Skitter was doing yesterday.

The strategy here is to hit hard with the Jademist Dancer in the beginning then take it out for the Skunk who can give some nice AoE heals. Then the Dancer will come back in and if it can’t survive for the duration of Rain Dance the De-Weaponized Mechanical Companion can come in and benefit by using Demolish at 100% accuracy. Not the greatest plan in the world but it’s been winning some games thus far. Can it win now under the spotlight?

Concerns:
These are not top-tier pets, with perhaps the exception of the Jademist Dancer. For these type of pets to win against more competitive teams you need some great synergy. I don’t think it has great synergy.

The Opposing Team:
P/B Zandalari Footslasher
P/P Lil’ Ragnaros
H/B Singing Sunflower
The queue loves me when it’s time to do write-ups. The Jademist Dancer has some hard hitting aquatic attacks for the elementals. And good luck killing my Skunk with elemental attacks. My only concern is that it might go on indefinitely.

The Battle:
101513AAll I really have to worry about here is the Zandalari Raptor taking out my Skunk. The Skunk is a soft counter to the elemental attacks, it’s racial will keep it from getting caught in Rag’s trap, its already awesome healing will be even better in the Sunlight. If I keep it away from the raptor it’ll be the superstar against those elementals. My opponent starts with the Raptor and I start with my Dancer. I put down a Geyser after the raptor uses Primal Cry. The Hunting Party arrives and I use Rain Dance. I swap to the DMC for the second turn of Hunting Party. The Demolish now has 100% accuracy. It combines with the Geyser to kill the raptor.

100513BIn comes Ragnaros so I swap to my Skunk. Rag goes right under with Sons Of The Flame but it’s weak damage against me which is easy to heal through. Rag comes up, throws down a Magma Trap and in comes the Sunflower. Now the futility of the Sunflower begins. It uses Sunlight and Photosynthesis to get its heals going then uses Solar Beam. It does weak damage, I can heal through it and Scratch the Sunflower down. At one point the Trap went off but the Critter racial ignored the stun. After about 15 rounds it was clear that the Skunk was going to come out on top so my opponent gave another shot with Lil’ Ragnaros. When Rag missed once my opponent ran away saving us both a ton of time.
