Today’s Team: Infinitely Dandy
S/S Dandelion Frolicker (Scratch, Frolick, Kick)
H/H Unborn Val’kyr (Shadow Slash, Curse Of Doom, Haunt)
P/P Infinite Whelpling (Tail Sweep, Weakness, Early Advantage)
After being so opposed to Direhorns in 5.3 I’ve booked a permanent seat on the Val’kyr bandwagon.

Strategy:
I leveled up my Frolicker today and immediately thought of the Val’kyr. The plan is to put up Haunt and then stall with the Frolicker by using Kick and Frolick. I’ve been trying out different pets as a third and many seem to work well, notably the Spirit Crab, the Death Adder Hatchling and the Hare. The reason I’m using the Infinite Whelpling is mostly for some variety, but also because I wanted something that hits reasonably hard. I think if I can time Weakness right it’ll last throughout an opposing Val’kyrs Haunt. I’m gonna stay away from Sleeping Gas since it’s bugged.

Concerns:
The Frolicker is interesting but I wish that Frolick was a 100% one round move rather than a 50% two round move. I don’t like relying on rng. My inexperience with the Infinite Whelpling may be a factor.

The Opposing Team:
P/B Onyxian Whelpling
P/S Vampiric Batling
H/P Spirit Of Competition
I think they wanted to show off their collection of no longer obtainable pets.

The Battle:
101213BI want to get my Haunt up as soon as possible so I start with the Val’kyr who must face the Onyxian Whelpling. I apply Curse then watch the Onyxian Whelpling Lift. It hits on the damage part of Lift then I Haunt. Now it’s the Dandelion Frolicker show. The Frolicker Kicks and Scratches, the Whelpling heals. The next turn Curse hits to combine with Scratch and Haunt to take the Onyxian Whelpling down.

101213AThe Vampiric Batling is next up on the unobtainable pet team. Frolick works well for me as I avoid the next two attacks. And guess what? I have a critter move that hits your lovely undead Bat for around 450 damage. The Reckless Strike debuff adds over 100 damage to that, the Bat goes down fast and the Frolicker easily survives. Next up, Spirit Of Competition. A Curse, a Haunt, a Kick , a Frolick and a few more Scratches meant the end of the Spirit Of Competition. Opps, I forgot to use the Infinite Whelpling. The Frolicker seems amazing, but rng was kind to my Frolick and it was faster than all of the opposing pets. If it isn’t faster it’s going to have some problems.
