The reason they passed their turn with Boneshard was for the chance it would survive one more turn for the first Bonestorm to come off of cooldown. If you had swapped to Animus instead of going for the kill under the assumption it would kill itself your team would’ve eaten a fourth Bonestorm.
It’s a double-edged sword. Had they used it immediately instead of holding on to it its damage wouldn’t have been debuffed by the racial.
