Battle 1: Jaguero Souvenir
Fiendish Imp, Baby Ape, Ominous Flame
vs. Death Adder Hatchling, Death Adder Hatchling, Nordrassil Wisp
One snake was an S/S, the other was a P/S. I didn’t fancy my chances at winning going into the battle but I managed to pull off a close victory. The speed reduction from Foreboding Curse totally saved me against the adders. My Baby Ape didn’t do much except fire off one Banana Barrage, but it turned out to be quite effective when the field effect hit through the blind. I guess I was better equipped to deal with adders than I initially thought.

Battle 2: Square Of The Tyrants
Ominous Flame, Scourged Whelpling, Golden Dragonhawk Hatchling
vs. Fiendish Imp, Unborn Val’kyr, Restless Shadeling
After the last victory I tried to put together another Ominous Flame team. This time the plan was to use Scorched Earth to create some synergy with the dragonhawk. The Scourged Whelpling could provide some healing with Plagued Blood. Coming up with teams like this is fun, but using them effectively against pets like the Fiendish Imp and Unborn Val’kyr is difficult. I had no valk counter and lost very badly.

Battle 3: Spartan Rain
Jademist Dancer, Spirit Crab, Azure Crane Chick
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Emerald Proto-Whelp, Magical Crawdad
This one really shouldn’t count as a win. I was headed for a sure loss with my Jademist Dancer against the recently healed, almost full health valk and a 900ish hp Magical Crawdad. My opponent Haunted, which allowed me to kill the crawdad while the valk was still Haunting. Oops.

Battle 4: Renegades Of Spunk
Yu’la, Vengeful Porcupette, Spirit Crab
vs. Anubisath Idol, Unborn Val’kyr, Lil’ Bling
Sigh. On nights like this I get sad at the state of pet battles. Valks just get so damn boring to face over and over and over. There’s more to pet battles than valks, but not everyone knows that. I was countered hard in this battle, but I fought until the end. I lost.

Battle 5: Kingdom Of Doing
Death Adder Hatchling, Spirit Crab, Spirit Crab
vs. Anubisath Idol, Unborn Val’kyr, Lil’ Bling
Revenge, dead crab style. Neither of my pets were great against the idol so this battle was no easy task. It wasn’t that close, either. My second crab survived the idol with about 700 hp to spare.

Battle 6: Nooberman
Warbot, Sen’Jin Fetish, Armadillo Pup
vs. Shrine Fly, Darkmoon Tonk, Darkmoon Monkey
I pulled out this team that works well against the smelly dog face/valk combo. My opponent wanted nothing to do with me and fled. This could have been an interesting battle.

Battle 7: A Bloody Dream
Darkmoon Rabbit, Snarly, Infested Bear Cub
vs. Lil’ Deathwing, Living Sandling, Onyxian Whelpling
When my opponent used Elementium Bolt against the rabbit I figured I was on easy street against an easy opponent. I got complacent to the point where I made the mistake of using Blood In The Water on the turn after the bleed expired. Another oops, this one on me. The BITW missed and because of this the battle was closer than it should have been. I paid much closer attention after that and was able to squeak out the win. It’s a good thing that’s win number five, I need to call it a night.
