Team Focus: Turt McGurt
H/P Macabre Marionette (Macabre Maraca, Death and Decay, Bone Barrage)
H/P Vengeful Porcupette (Powerball, Spirit Spikes, Flank)
H/H Emerald Turtle (Emerald Bite, Shell Shield, Powerball)

I decided to play a less competitive team just for the hell of it. The puppet is used to take down decoys, the porc is used to damage undead, the turtle is there to soak back line damage.

I could write more but instead I’ll let the video speak for itself. I ended up going undefeated, which is kind of awesome to say when an Emerald Turtle is on your team. When making a video there seems to be an inversely proportional relationship between how epic my wins are and how well the commentary goes. Many mistakes were made, but words be damned! Just watch the damn thing on silent and throw on some music 😛

Win 9 was against Graves, valk, Lil’ Bling.

Win 10 against FoA, fox, Trunks.

Maybe I have something decent here?

Edit: Nice run, finally got beat by a clonedance team. The win was never going to happen against a crab third. I hope someone had to pull out a clonedance team to beat a turtle lol.

Hehe……….just faced this team. Ahh…..the legions of Discodoggyites out there. Pretty sure this wasn’t you. Traditional clone dance team ate this up pretty easy.
With that, I enjoyed this video immensely and congrats on coming up with so many fun teams and beating the baddies with your surprise combos!

Interesting that we’re finally facing each other again. These crazy metas/battlegroups! I better make some new teams.

Nice streak there! especially against the Graves team, though even I could recognise that your opponent made a couple of weak moves. :)

In the video, you commented on metas and servers.

I know that the pet battle queue is wider than my server, because I’ve met people I recognise.

However, I have also met opponents who are not in my battlegroup. I traced one of my opponents who had named pets, and found him on a Spanish-language server in a different battlegroup. While it is just about possible that he was playing on a character in my battlegroup at the time, I’ve met him twice, and I also found his alts, all on the same SP realm.

So I have reason to suspect that the pet battle queue is region-wide.

There have been a few heated discussions on the US forums about whether or not we are one big pool or that we are broken up into smaller groups when it comes to pet battling.

Anecdotes were given on both sides. No conclusion was reached.

My own experiences have led me to believe that we are broken up into battlegroups, but occasionally either these groups change or the people in them change.
