5.4 Farewell, Part I

Please excuse my absence. I was not ure how to proceed these last few days. I’m really quite burnt out; I need a long break so I can be fresh for WoD. I was going to update the My Teams page (finally) and then call it quits for 5.4. Instead of finishing up, while updating all of those teams I decided that they need a decent farewell. I still plan on taking an extended break but first I have one more task: to countdown all of my 5.4 teams.

If I counted correctly there are 129 5.4 teams that made it to the My Teams page. I’m going to do a final battle with each one of them. I’m also going rank them based on how much I like using them. Please note this is not a competitive ranking based on how good they are, the ranking is based on how much I like using them. I know some people want to know how good a team is so I’ll also add a competitive score. The score will be from 1 to 10, with 10 highest and 1 lowest.

Since all of the info on breeds and move sets is on the team page and I just spent forever updating that page the thought of doing it again makes me want to vomit. Thus I will only include the pets involved.

Let’s get to it…

Team #129: Dustwallow Devils
Competitive Score: 3/10
Spawn Of Onyxia, Toad, Black Rat
vs. Clockwork Gnome, Scourged Whelpling, Emperor Crab

100614BThe Spawn Of Onyxia is a weak pet. This team barely made the cut, the only reason it didn’t get dropped is because I don’t have any other Spawn Of Onyxia teams and wanted at least one. As if it wasn’t bad enought having such a weak team, my dragon’s Tail Swipe was useless against the slower pets and the fast pet (gnome) had Blitz. I had to use Lift-Off as an offensive move :). It hit once to take out the crab but missed the Scourged Whelpling. That was my only chance at coming close.

Team #128: Hatebreakers Two
Competitive Score: 8/10
Anubisath Idol, Emperor Crab, Living Sandling
vs. Lil’ XT, Clockwork Gnome, Sunreaver Micro-Sentry

100614AI’m hesitant to give this team a nine because I haven’t used it much so I’m going with a four. It should win a lot of battles easily. I still hate the idol, and frankly I don’t know what I was thinking letting one soil my blog. It did make the cut last time I updated so here it is. I didn’t get a chance to see how it would perform because this team was countered hard and ran after the fifth round. Can’t really blame em’.

Team #127: Tirisfal Terrors
Competitive Score: 3/10
Lost Of Lordaeron, Black Rat, Maggot
vs. Lil’ Ragnaros, Gilnean Raven, Scourged Whelpling

100614CPet battles can be so interesting. Here I am with a team that I gave a three on the competitive scale yet I easily won this battle. My opponent kept the bird on the back line so I spammed Arcane Explosion. The stupid trap negated my undead round, but the damage was done. This along with the critter racial making the second trap useless allowed me to win easily. I was planning on doing a lot more tonight but something came up. 126 teams to go.

Have a good break. I’ll miss the posts. While you’re away don’t forget to pick up the new pets for 6.0 that will only be available for a limited time.

I’ll still be around a few more weeks while I count down my 5.4 teams. I’ll try to get through it as quick as I can though.

Yes, the iron starlette from 6.0 pre-expansion was the one i was referring. The 10 anniversary ones too will be limited but available for a couple months after the expac…i think.
