Today’s Team: Hollow Weenies
P/B Feline Familiar (Onyx Bite, Call Darkness, Prowl)
H/P Ghostly Skull (Shadow Slash, Spectral Strike, Unholy Ascension)
P/S Gilnean Raven (Alpha Strike, Call Darkness, Nocturnal Strike)
Happy Halloween!

Strategy:
The strategy is to change the weather to Darkness and use the moves that benefit from it: Spectral Strike and Nocturnal Strike. After I use Call Darkness I’ll want to get the Skull in so that I can cast Unholy Ascension. With Unholy Ascension up those hard hitting moves from the Familiar and Raven will hit even harder.

Concerns:
Darkness causes a 10% accuracy debuff and that’s why I rarely use it. I hope it doesn’t cause a crucial miss.

The Opponent:
B/B Unborn Val’kyr
H/H Death Adder Hatchling
P/P Baby Ape

The Battle:
103113AIt starts off as Feline versus Val’kyr. I go straight to using Call Darkness then swap to the Skull, but not before the Feline gets Cursed. The Skull gets Haunted on the swap and the Ape comes out to Clobber so I have to take some damage before I can use Spectral Strike. The Ape is able to take out the Skull, which uses Unholy Ascension on it’s undead round. I bring in the Feline which takes the Ape out with an Onyx Bite. I’ll spare the details and just say that the Feline Familiar and the Unborn Val’kyr cancelled each other out. Now it’s a one on one with the Death Adder and Crow. I was excited since the Nocturnal Strike will hit through the Blinding Poison (intended?), but it missed. Stupid Darkness. I was worried about how to handle the Adder when I remembered that it’s an H/H at 276 speed so the Raven out speeded it even without the flying bonus. Alpha Strike spam was all it took to take it down.
