Today’s Team: Mondjango
S/S Mongoose Pup (Gnaw, Survival, Dive)
S/S Death Adder Hatchling (Poison Fang, Puncture Wound, Blinding Poison)
P/P Son Of Animus (Metal Fist, Touch Of The Animus, Extra Plating)

Strategy:
The plan is to get Touch Of The Animus to interact with the Poison DoT of the Adder for big heals. The Mongoose is there because there’s been a lot of S/S Death Adder Hatchlings on my meta. I wanted something faster than 341 and the first thing I thought of was the Mongoose. It has a Gnaw, a double attack that could really benefit from Touch if I can time it right.

Concerns:
Flyers will give me a lot of trouble.

The Opposing Team:
S/S Death Adder Hatchling
P/B Infected Fawn
P/P Xu-Fu
I’ve been seeing this team quite a bit lately. I respect Xu-Fu less than I did initially but Prowl plus Feed can really turn a battle around.

The Battle:
102113AI thought that the Death Adder would start so I began with my Mongoose but my opponent started Xu-Fu instead. I Gnawed and Xu-Fu Prowled. I’d rather avoid the Feed than a Spirit Claw so I hold off on my Dive since I didn’t think the Feed would come this turn. To my surprise the Feed came this round but thankfully it missed. Now I Dive and watch the Prowl go to waste. The Dive hits and after one more Gnaw Xu-Fu is already dead. Nice. The Adder arrives to get Gnawed before it Blinds me. I bring in my own Adder who takes a Poison Fang on the swap. I take the Puncture Wounds and give a Poison Fang before the opposing Adder swaps to the Fawn. I decide that I have no need for anymore swapping as I can take out most of the Fawn while the opposing Adder slowly loses health from Poison on the back line. I take out most of the Fawn with my Adder then Animus comes in to finish it off with one Metal Fist. On the undead round Animus uses Extra Plating. After Blinding and Poisoning Animus my opponent realizes there’s no hope and runs away. I like these quick battles (16 rounds in this case).
