Farewell 5.4 Part X
Still counting them down.

Team 46: Croak And Thrash
Competitive Rating: 7/10
Spirit Crab, Swamp Croaker, Imperial Eagle Chick
vs. Oasis Moth, Frosty, Disgusting Oozeling

Using these teams after the valk and adder nerfs is odd. The Spirit Crab and Swamp Croaker combo seems kind of boring now. In this battle Bubble saved the day against Ice Tomb. No stun for you!

Team 45: Peckmaster Arson
Competitive Rating: 8/10
Fiendish Imp, Sen’Jin Fetish, Robo-Chick
vs. Lil’ Ragnaros, Living Fluid, Son Of Animus

I like using my sturdy H/H Robo-Chick on this team as it can take such a lickin’ and keep on tickin’. The DoTs with Wild Magic was just too much for the opposing team. I keep forgetting screenshots.

Team 44: Josh Pit
Competitive Rating: 8/10
Jademist Dancer, Imperial Eagle Chick, Spirit Crab
vs. Alpine Hare, Clockwork Gnome, Scourged Whelpling

101714AAfter pounding the rabbit with Thrashes that hit for 270 damage a pop my opponent fled. I didn’t even need to use Hawk Eye, which is what this team is built around. Sorry Josh, I can’t help it if people run away from the painful eagle. I’m looking forward to experimenting with Hawk Eye a lot more in WoD.

Team 43: Imps Party Harder
Competitive Rating: 8/10
Tiny Twister, Lil’ Bling, Fiendish Imp
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Swamp Croaker, Direhorn Runt

101714BMan these people don’t stick around for the entire battle much; this person fled after the valk went down. Of course I’m glad that the valk got nerfed and I don’t think it was too hard. You can still get all of those cool synergies with Haunt except now you have to be careful about when you use it. I haven’t played enough adder teams to have a good feel for that nerf yet, but while facing them they’ve seemed weak. I hope when played well they’ll still be useful. In this battle the Tiny Twister again showed why it’s my number one weather pet. Paired with the imp lightning is even more punishing. Toss in some Inflation and you have a recipe for wins.

Team 42: The Team Formerly Known As Something Else
Compettive Rating: 8/10
Fiendish Imp, Warbot, Mongoose Pup
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Magical Crawdad, Singing Sunflower

As annoying as it is to face one of these teams the imp usually does well in Sunny Day. The Mongoose Pup took out the Magical Crawdad while it was waiting for a Wish. I hope I ruined their day in real life. I know that’s mean, but Sunlight and Wish is meaner.

Team 41: Jaguero Souvenir
Competitive Rating: 6/10
Fiendish Imp, Baby Ape, Ominous Flame
vs. Emperor Crab, Harbinger Of Flame, Oily Slimeling

101714CI found out that hard way that Banana Barrage is a 50% accuracy move now. I thought that all barrage moves might be down to 50% accuracy but I checked to find Nut Barrage and Bone Barrage are still 80%, while Egg Barrage and Rock Barrage are 50%. Is that an oversight on Bone Barrage and Nut Barrage or just a tooltip error? At any rate, I need to figure out any benefits that higher than 100% accuracy might have, or else Nimbus won’t be that useful aside from helping out Banana Barrage. I lost this battle. Seems like a good place to stop for the night.
