Today’s Team: Born To Be Scalded
S/S Dandelion Frolicker (Scratch, Frolick, Kick)
H/H Unborn Val’kyr (Shadow Slash, Curse Of Doom, Unborn Val’kyr)
H/S Scalded Basilisk Hatchling (Crystal Prison, Feign Death, Thrash)

Strategy:
The strategy is to put up Haunt and then make the opposing team lose turns by using Kick and Feign Death. Hopefully the Haunt ticks will add up fast.

Concerns:
There aren’t any hard hitting moves on this team. A Sandstorm can make Scratch and especially Thrash hit even less hard. With two forms of CC I need to watch out for the Resilient buff.

The Opposing Team:
P/P Thundering Serpent Hatchling
P/B Searing Schorchling
H/H Scourged Whelpling

The Battle:
101713AI wasn’t sure what my opponent’s plan would be, would they use Lightning or Scorched Earth? I knew my Basilisk was faster than all of the opposing pets so I start with that. The Searing Scorchling starts out by getting Prisoned and Thrashed. I Feign to the Val’kyr then get Conflagrated before the Val’kyr can Haunt. On the Haunt swap I bring in the Frolicker. It has a strong attack against undead so I’m not sure why my opponent swapped to the Scourged Whelpling. Perhaps they thought undead versus humanoid will work out in their favor. No matter what the reason, the Frolicks helped the Frolicker dodge attacks while the Scratch took down the undead pet pretty fast. The Kick even helped negate the undead racial. The only bad thing was Plagued Blood and Scorched Earth were healing the Scorchling.

101713BThe Scorchling came back out so I switched back to my Val’kyr for another Haunt. After the Haunt the Basilisk Prisoned the Scorchling who then swapped to the Serpent Hatchling. I Feigned to the Frolicker who took out a lot of the Serpent Hatchling’s hp before dying. The Basilisk came back out to finish off the Serpent Hatchling and Scorchling. An easy one overall. The stalling while Haunting worked out really well by taking off most of the Scorchling’s health from two Haunts.
