Farewell 5.4 Part IX
The countdown continues.

Team 48: Uprockers
Competitive rating: 7/10
Spirit Crab, Sen’Jin Fetish, Blighted Squirrel
vs. Living Sandling, Toad, Warpstalker Hatchling

101614AI don’t care what changes were made, the undead racial is always going to be one of the best for PvP. Here is a team made of three undead to abuse, err, I mean completely utilize that strong racial. This battle was a painful reminder of Snap being so weak. It went from 343 damage @ 95% to 312 at 100%. Why oh why mess with the anchor of so many of my teams? At least the Blighted Squirrel wan’t messed with. Bleed, Crouch, then Stampede is a sequence that will still be useful in WoD. I’ve been playing with Shadow Shock on the mask snce it’s 100% now but I haven’t seen it enough to decide if I like it or not. Time will tell.

Team 47: Assbutt Trees
Competitive Rating: 8/10
Jademist Dancer, Spirit Crab, Snarly
vs. Darkmoon Rabbit, Fiendish Imp, Lil’ XT

Rain Dance has changed since it is no longer necessary to get Steam Vent to hit at 100%. It still provides the crit buff and the heal, but this takes the elemental down a peg. Valks, adders and dancers all took a hit, what we need now is for RI and traps to be changed for most of the 5.4 OPness to be dealt with. It’s probably not gonna happen. This battle ended up being a close win. The last battle was a win as well.

I only got to two 5.4 teams tonight because I leveled and queued with my shiny new S/S Bronze Whelpling. So far it’s doing really well!

Hi mate, knowing how much you rely on PetBattle Teams I was wondering if you’ve updated it manually since the patch went live. Curse hasn’t got an update for it and I’m having to build teams manually. There is talk on forums of some other guy manually updating it and doing a damned good job in the process. Are you running this guy’s version (I think he’s called Agramonia) and do you recommend it?

I wasn’t sure about the breed for the Bronze Whelpling so I got one of each lol. Still have to level them but looking forward to your observations.

I wonder if they’re going to up the 1000 pet limit? People like me with one of each breed might be starting to have to delete level 25 pets to make room *cry*

The petbattleteams addon update that agromonia did is working great! I was dreading the idea of remaking my 250+ teams, but I didn’t have to because of this. The update is posted on the forums on warcraftpets.com.

I do miss the auto equiping pet teams when I engage trainers, but I’m not sure if that’s a petbattleteam issue or another addon that hasn’t been updated.

I’ll put in a plug for the Rematch addon here. It imports pets from petbattleteams, it auto-loads teams for trainer fights, it has a really nice pet browser interface… it’s great. And it’s updated for 6.0! Check it out.

Other battle pet addons I use are PetTracker (just the switcher, for the enemy pet cooldown bar), and Battle Pet Breed ID (which works with 6.0 but doesn’t have data for the new pets yet).

I’ve heard many good things about Rematch, gonna check it out this evening.

I’ve made the change to Rematch. Just after a few days of using it I don’t know how I lived without it. The best part for me so far is that I’m able to have different tabs of teams instead of one long, continuous list like PBT. I have, 6.0, 5.4, 5.3, pre-5.3 and Tamer tabs. It makes finding teams a lot easier. I’m sure once the new meta develops I’ll have a counter tab as well for the new meta pets (whatever they might be).

I didn’t import my old teams, I’m just making them as I want to use them.

I might have to try this one.
