Today’s Team: Two Deadly Venoms
S/S Death Adder Hatchling (Poison Fang, Puncture Wounds, Blinding Poison)
P/P Son Of Animus (Metal Fist, Touch Of The Animus, Extra Plating)
H/P Shrine Fly (Scratch, Confusing Sting, Swarm)

Strategy:
I realized that for as awesome as Touch Of The Animus is, I only have a few teams built around it. Touch can provide some amazing healing for DoT teams. When Touch is applied to an enemy pet any damage done to that pet will trigger a heal. If the Adder can use Poison Fang on an enemy pet and then have Animus apply Touch the Adder will receive some great heals. As awesome as the Adder has been doing lately you have to watch out for its low health pool. This healing can help get through that. Similarly, the Fly will apply its DoT through Confusing Sting and try to get a Swarm off if necessary. I’m really not sure if Swarm will trigger heals from Touch since I’ve never tried it before.

Concerns:
Experienced opponents will know to switch out a DoT’d pet before I can apply Touch.

The Opposing Team:
P/P Warbot
P/P Kun-Lai Runt
P/S Pandaren Monk

The Battle:
101313EI start with my Death Adder Hatchling which has to face the Runt. I use Blinding Poison while my opponent tries to pull a fast one on me by using Deep Freeze before Frost Shock. Kudos for surprising me but the Blinding Poison means you’re going to miss. That’s a good start for me since you just blew your CD. The Runt stays in to get the double shot from Puncture Wounds while Blinded. Now that the Runt can finally hit my Adder it uses Frost Shock. Too bad for you that even with the speed reduction the Adder is still faster than the Runt. It’s just not the Runt’s day. After some Poison Fangs and another Blinding Poison the Runt finally swaps to the Warbot, who gets hit with a Poison Fang.

101313DI swap in my Animus as the Minefield goes down. I use my Touch to start the Adder’s healing while the Warbot makes a Rocket. I would really like to apply my Plating before I get hit by that Rocket but we’re both 260 speed so it’s a coin flip to see who goes first. I lose the coin flip so the Animus gets pounded for 748 damage before putting up the Plating. By this time the Runt is almost dead from the Adder’s Poison and the Adder has been healed for over 300 health. The Warbot and my Animus now just stand there and duke it out. The 101313BPlating helps me survive long enough to win that battle. Animus’ 260 speed is faster than the Runt so it comes in to receive a killing Metal Fist. The Monk comes in to force the Animus’ Failsafe while getting a Touch put on it. The Takedown isn’t enough to take out the Animus who Fists and gets healed by its own Touch. Next round the Monk finally finishes it off but my opponent decides there’s no hope so they run away.
