Today’s Team: Explodalot
P/P Murkalot (Blessed Hammer, Shieldstorm, Righteous Inspiration)
P/P Warbot (Missile, Minefield, Extra Plating)
S/S Enchanted Broom (Broom, Sweep, Wind-Up)

Strategy:
My 5.3 go to combo of the Warbot and Fiendish Imp was my first choice for a competitive team with Murkalot. I didn’t want to play with two humanoids so I decided to go with the second fastest swapper after the Imp, the Broom. The plan here is to put a Minefield down, swap to Murkalot, use Righteous Inspiration to bring in the Broom, then Sweep to get the RI bonus damage on the Minefield.

Concerns:
That’s a lot of set up for that big Minefield hit. Is it worth all of the swapping?

The Opposing Team:
B/B Unborn Val’kyr
S/S Tolai Hare Pup
P/B Onyxian Whelpling

The Battle:
110713AI put in my Warbot who has to face the Val’kyr. Great, I love the Warbot versus Val’kyr match up. After a Minefield goes down and the Warbot gets Cursed the Extra Plating goes up. Now either way, Haunt or not, the Warbot is in good shape due to the mitigation from the Plating. There’s no Haunt, this Val’kyr wants to duke it out. I’ve taken out plenty of Val’kyrs this way and it happens again. The Val’kyr goes to 0 hp before the Warbot. I’m not sure why, it was possibly a miss-press, my opponent swapped out the Val’kyr for the Hare on its undead turn. Oops. The Warbot is able to apply Extra Plating again.

110713BAfter the Hare eats the Minefield it Flurries but can’t take out the Warbot so another Minefield goes down. That’s bad news for my opponent. After the Warbot goes down I bring in Murkalot. I wait until the time is right so that my RI turn won’t get dodged or burrowed and then cast it for the Broom. The Broom comes in for the 100% speed and damage Righteous Inspiration buff. The bunny is killed by the sweep, the Whelpling comes in for 1333 damage from the buffed Minefield. Rather than take the killing blow my opponent ran. If Broom missed then Healing Flame would have healed for a lot, I’m not sure the battle was over enough to run.
