Today’s Team: Almost Six Thousand
H/H Robo-Chick (Peck, Overtune, Wind-Up)
H/H Spirit Crab (Snap, Whirlpool, Shell Shield)
H/H Magical Crawdad (Snap, Shell Shield, Wish)
That’s almost 6000 hp with the mech racial.

Strategy:
With all the Kovoks, Val’kyrs and Death Adders running around I was curious to see how a super high hp team might do. I don’t have high hopes but you never know until you try. The Robo-Chick may not be the best choice but I wanted some speed (from Overtune) so I’m not entirely susceptible to CC. Mostly I just want to try something new. The plan is to simply outlast the opponent with my high hp, shields and Wish.

Concerns:
Where do I start? I’m slow at 195, 227, and 260 speed which means that I can be CC’d for two rounds by a lot of moves. With Wish I need to be careful to make sure I have enough hp to survive a swap. There’s nothing more pathetic than a pet who dies on the turn it’s going to receive it’s Wish. I’m also somewhat of a Crawdad noob.

The Opposing Team:
P/P Warbot
S/S Fiendish Imp
H/P Blighthawk

The Battle:
This battle once again shows the power of the Warbot, which many people just don’t understand. I lost this one, but I have the satisfaction of taking credit for making the Imp/Warbot combo popular on my meta. If you destroy enough people with something they’re bound to start using it for themselves. The Imp had a lot of control this battle due to Nether Gate, but the Warbot was the true hero of my opponent’s team. I just couldn’t take it down fast enough. Since it was faster than my Crab and Crawdad it got four turns out of its Extra Plating when used against these pets.

113013AI started with the Crab to hopefully get a root down when the Imp swapped in, but my opponent decided to keep the Warbot in. It applied Extra Plating, I brought in the Crawdad so I could get a Wish off then eat the mines and get healed. I should have stuck to that plan, but for some reason I decided to go head to head versus the Warbot. Bad plan. By the time I had taken out the Warbot and the Imp I was left with a half health Robo-Chick to face a full health Blighthawk. The Blighthawk easily came out on top. Studid Warbot on other people’s teams! I may give this high hp team another try.
