Today’s Team: Freedom
H/P Blighted Squirrel (Woodchipper, Crouch, Rabid Strike)
S/S Jademist Dancer (Steam Vent, Raid Dance, Geyser)
S/S Death Adder (Poison Fang, Puncture Wound, Blinding Poison)

Strategy:
Both Murkalot and Pheromones got hit with some changes today, most likely for the positive. In celebration I made a team that doesn’t include any Murkalot or Kovok counters. This is team designed to get some extra punch from the DoTs (Woodchipper and Poison Fang) through Rain Dance. There’s no specific pet order, I’ll just play it as I see it.

Concerns:
I still haven’t leveled my P/S Jademist Dancer, this S/S isn’t an optimal breed. Sandstorm may be problematic. Not the greatest synergy, but hey, I was excited.

The Opposing Team:
P/S Pandaren Earth Spirit
P/P Curious Wolvar Pup
H/B Darkmoon Zeppelin

The Battle:
111913AI’m not sure what my opponent will start with so I start with my Adder, I figure that I can’t got wrong with the speed. It has to face the Fire Spirit, which immediately swaps for the Wolvar after being blinded. The Wolvar takes a Poison Fang on the Swap and then a Puncture Wound as it lays the trap. I’m scared but decide to try and take the Wolvar out with my snake anyways. Lo and behold, the trap goes off on the kill shot. My snake still lives so I decide to swap it for the Squirrel. The Squirrel takes out the Wolvar then the Zeppelin comes in. The Squirrel doesn’t do that well against the Zeppelin and its Decoy, so I had to bring my Adder back in and use both Blinding Poison and Puncture Wound to take it out. The Adder was able to get off two Poison Fangs on the Fire Spirit before death. Now I have the matchup I was hoping for the whole time, my Dancer versus the Fire Spirit. All it took was a Rain Dance and a 905 damage Steam Vent crit to finish off the battle.

I guess this means the world is once again safe for warbot.

I am glad that there’s a Shieldstorm to counter it now, although I think most people will still be using RI. I do expect to see more Adders, they were getting a lot of use before the two recently changed pets took over. Which of course isn’t great news for out friend the Warbot.

I’m pretty excited to see the nerfs come through so that I could go back to some of my other fun teams. I’m sure Disco feels the same way for his daily battle 😉

I’ve been looking at your old teams and found this one – seems that your new favourite squirrel works better. Tried an Infected Squirrel instead of the Blighted with great success. I called the team Power of Freedom – feel free to give it a go.

Yeah, after using the Infected Squirrel more I did forget about its crouching cousin.
