Today’s Team: The Twenty-Sixth Dimension
P/P Moonshell Crab (Water Jet, Shell Shield, Moon Tears)
S/S Nether Fairie Dragon (Arcane Blast, Evanescence, Moonfire)
H/P Infected Squirrel (Stampede, Creeping Fungus, Consume)
Excitement! New pets.

Rationale:
A moonlight team ought to be a good way to get the daily battle going again. The Moonshell Crab was one of my first new additions today in WoD. While I’m not extremely impressed with it, I do like that the P/P version has a shield that blocks 83 damage. Plus it has Moon Tears to change the weather to moonlight. For team mates I went with the common moonlight combo of the Infected Squirrel and the NFD. The plan is to change the weather to moonlight, then benefit from the 10% buff to magic moves by using Arcane Blast. Creeping Fungus is also buffed in moonlight.

The Opposing Team:
P/P Lil’ Ragnaros
B/B Unborn Val’kyr
P/B Nether Fairie Dragon

The Battle:
111314BI thought that Lil’ Ragnaros would start so I chose the undead squirrel to apply Creeping Fungus before he went under. Instead the Unborn Val’kyr came out first. It put Curse Of Doom on the squirrel and received some fungus in return. I swapped to my shiny new aquatic crab to eat the Haunt, which came as expected. Now the trap laying bundle of fire came out. I decided to get a Water Jet off before Lil’ Ragnaros went under; it did 517 damage before a trap was laid. I was going to get my shield up but the trap went off and rag went under. Not a bad time for the trap to go off. After the stun was finished I cast the Shell Shield and the crab finished off Lil’ Ragnaros.

111314AThe opposing NFD was next so I swapped to my squirrel. Moonfire and Creeping Fungus were cast, which was obviously great for me. To make matters even better the NFD didn’t cast Dodge so my squirrel was allowed to use Stampede. Stampede + moonlight + Creeping Fungus is a combo you never want to be on the receiving end of. The NFD was able to take out my squirrel (remember it had to eat a CoD), but my own dragon came in to easily finish it off. The valk was weakened by the Creeping Fungus so it was easy to take down. It’s nice to start the new expansion with a win, and it’s damn good to be back :).
