Make It Ten
I go through stages of playing a lot with top pets and then sometimes I try to come up with good interesting teams with lesser used, lower-tiered pets. Right now I’m definitely in top pet competitive mode. Maybe it has something to do with keeping win/loss records for teams, or maybe it’s all of the Teroclaw Hatchlings and MPDs I’ve been seeing. Whatever the reason, I’ve been making more teams with top pets. Getting them to ten wins without losing is my goal. This is often harder than it seems, as rng, poor match-ups or just one wrong move can lead to a loss. Right now I have four teams that are 9-0, let me see if I get any of them to 10-0.

Ginsu Brothers
H/P Fragment Of Anger (Seethe, Spirit Beams, Soulrush)
H/P Trunks (Smash, Ethereal, Avalnche)
S/S Alpine Foxling (Flurry, Howl, Dazzling Dance)

Current Record: 9-0
I was trying to emulate my own Macarena Prohibited team, with the fox replacing the bunny. The speed on the S/S fox may not be necessary. Trunks only goes to 264 speed with the buff. I have some other teams with slower breeds of fox/wolf that will probably do better in the long run, but so far this team is doing fine.

Battle 10
vs. Emerald Whelpling, Hyjal Bear Cub, Iron Stralette
052615AThe three round healing moves of both the bear and the drgon allowed my CDs to reset. It’s oh so useful to use Ethereal on a buffed Wind-Up release, as Trunks did to the mech. The battle never seemed close.

Ginsu Brothers: Success

Corporate Deathburger
S/S Fiendish Imp (Burn, Immolation, Nether Gate)
H/P Macabre Marionette (Macabre Maraca, Death and Decay, Bone Barrage)
H/P Pygmy Cow (Stampede, Feed, Udder Destruction)

Current Record: 9-0
While the first team is obviously good, Corporate Deathburger’s record is somewhat surprising. I don’t expect the streak to go on for too much longer since one sandstorm team will lead to big trouble. Oh, and I think I may have lost with this team before I started keeping records, but I’m not sure.

Battle 10
vs. Ancient Nest Guardian, Son Of Animus, Iron Starlette
052615BDamn I’m glad I had an imp. Three times the powerful mech racial is nothing to take lightly. I was able to swap in my imp as the Iron Starlette cast Supercharge then force it out to let the buff wear out on the back line. When my cow applied the debuff from Stampede when there are already three DoT’s/field effects going those little ticks really add up. I’m still using the Macabre Marionette quite a bit so I haven’t sold my soul entirely to the top tier.

Corporate Deathburger: Success

Frosty Cold Rats
H/H Bone Serpent (Bone Barrage, Call Darkness, Nocturnal Strike)
S/S Frostfur Rat (Flurry, Crouch, Call Darkness)
S/S Nightshade Sproutling (Lash, Call Darkness, Blinding Poison)

Current Record: 9-0
Like the first team, it’s really no big deal to win nine in a row with the serpent/sproutling combo. You can put any pet with that combo and win, even a Twilight Fiendling (trust me, I did!). The rat provides a third weather change, speed and some anti-undead.

Battle 10
vs. Kun-Lai Runt, Nexus Whelpling, Scourged Whelpling
052615CIf you told me I would two pet this battle I would have assumed it was the uber combo doing the damage, but instead it was the rat and the sproutling. I started off with a Blinding Poison and Darkness, then the Scourged Whelpling locked itself into a three round Dreadful Breath. I brought the rat in to punish it, which it did, and then took out the Nexus Whelpling (after the KLR came in to immediately swap and waste a turn). The rat and the elemental easily killed off the KLR. I had another team that’s 9-0 but I thnink I’m done for the night, it’ll have to wait.

Frosty Cold Rats: Success

I got rid of my “Deadly Teams” tab since there were so many teams there that I never used. I changed it to “Ten Plus Wins” to have all my current winningest teams in one place. Yes, I have used the MPD 22 times as part of my Slitherbolt team. It’s such a perfect third for that team!

If you ever feel like trying a more “fun” team:
S/S Alpine Foxling (Flurry, Crouch, Dazzling Dance) (can be a diferent breed, the 325 speed are often wasted)
H/P Infected Squirrel (Stampede, Creeping Fungus, Consume)
P/P Ore Eater (Acid Touch, Shell Armor, Body Slam)

It’s been working nice for me, almost always start with squirrel (some times it gets two pets down, some times gets shattered defences on the second and the fox finishes it off), the fox works like a buffer for the ore eater and a counter to undeads, and the ore eater as a sweeper with speed buff

Your team looks interesting! And I was going to suggest a different breed of Foxling, depending on how much speed you want to aim for, since I am getting the impression the first move you’ll generally do is Dazzling Dance.

Depends alot on what I’m facing, sometimes I go with crouch for example, sometimes i just use it as a buffer. Against undead AoE teams for example i just go all out with flurries. It destroys Teroclaw Hatchlings for example!
