Today’s Team: Bleeding Blight
H/P Blighted Squirrel (Woodchipper, Crouch, Stampede)
H/P Infested Bear Cub (Infected Bite, Bash, Maul)
H/P Snarly (Rip, Surge, Blood In The Water)

Rationale:
Today I felt like using the Blighted Squirrel, the unpopular cousin of the Infected Squirrel. With this move set the Blighted Squirrel can usually take out one pet and then get either bleeding or the defense debuff from Stampede on the next pet. After a few battles of switching pets in an out I ended up with this team, which turns out to be one of my old bleed teams from 5.3. The plan with any bleed team is to get the bleeding effect going then use the moves that are buffed by that effect. In this case the bleed is applied with Woodchipper or Rip, then the big damage is brought with BITW and Maul. Early in 5.4 bleed teams weren’t doing too well but I’ve been using them here and there for the past few days and I’ve been winning.

Concerns:
It sounds silly but I feel that Infected Bite is cursed. It always seems to miss at important times and lose. PAR says it’s doing better than expected. DATA BE DAMNED! ITS CURSED I TELL YA!

The Opposing Team:
B/B Blossoming Ancient
P/P Son Of Animus
B/B Unborn Val’kyr

The Battle:
052514ADamn I hate losing the daily battle. I also hate losing to Unborn Val’kyrs so this was a double whammy. I didn’t even lose to the curse of Infected Bite, all of them hit. I lost due to the back line healing abilities of that damn tree in Sunlight. I thought I could do better with Snarly but I was never able to hit the tree with a Blood In The Water, which tells me that I really didn’t play well. This was one of those rare times when the 260 speed Son Of Animus could actually make good use of Interrupting Jolt against my Infected Bear. Son Of Animus did really well with Extra Plating protecting and Siphon Anima being buffed by Sunlight. In the end the Blossoming Ancient had full health so I guess I lost pretty badly. A consolation prize for me was that I was able to “stalk” this person since they named their pets. They hail from Dawnbringer.

You always remember the important misses and casually skip the lucky hits…human nature lol.

Ok so I’ve had the blossom beat me a few times, my answer was to bring in a weather changer (ie darkness) and hit em with that but it’s pretty iffy. If you knew this team was coming, which team would you use to stop em? Now if you were hunting for them and could get any other team…which compromise team would you run?

I go with the Jademist Dancer to combat Sunlight teams. It’s especially fun when you face a Blossoming Ancient and Sunflower together. It’s a complete massacre.

Oh, I didn’t mean I missed against the tree, just that I was never in a position to use BITW against it. That’s why I feel I didn’t play well. But I hear yeah, I casually mention that rng was on my side like it’s not a big deal, but then when it doesn’t go my way make a big deal about it haha.
