Today’s Team: Fat Rocky
S/S Lil’ Bling (Inflation, Extra Plating, Make It Rain)
H/H Scourged Whelpling (Tail Swipe, Death and Decay, Plagued Blood)
H/H Emerald Shale Hatching (Burn, Poison Spit, Stoneskin)

Rationale:
Lil’ Bling where have you been all of my life? This flashy mech is my personal fotm. I’m loving the synergy between Make It Rain and Inflation plus the survivability that Extra Plating provides. The Scourged Whelpling provides some healing with Plagued Blood. I usually use the P/P Emerald Shale Hatchling but with 1400 hp it’s susceptible to burst and I would like a longer life to take advantage of Plagued Blood in combination with Poison Spit. The 1806 hp version ought to be able to stay alive lone enough to make that happen.

Concerns:
Sandstorm will give this team a lot of problems, but lately I haven’t seen much of this weather in the queue.

The Opposing Team:
P/P Dread Hatchling
P/S Living Fluid
P/P SOn Of Animus

The Battle:
051614AI’m so afraid of accuracy debuffs. They’re causing me to lose today. I’m actually winning a lot, more than usual in fact (probably thanks to Lil’ Bling :)), but the few times I have lost have been to darkness teams. This opponent started out with the Dread Hatchling casting Anzu’s Blessing. I started with my Scourged Whelpling. Even though the darkness was coming I cast Plagued Blood anyways. A little healing is better than none. My Scourged Whelpling laid down Death and Decay then spammed Tail Swipe without missing to take out the flyer, but it got taken to 0 hp. Out came the Living Fluid and I got excited about being able to Tail Swipe a magic pet but the miss finally came, dang. I wanted to save my elemental for the Son Of Animus so I brought out Lil’ Bling. It turned out that the elemental wasn’t even needed since Lil’ Bling was able to take out both the Living Fluid and the Son Of Animus. Lil’ Bling was hit with Touch Of The Animus at one point but I decided not to swap since this Son Of Animus was equipped with Batter. Batter on a 260 speed pet is a huge gamble. Each of the Batters cast while Touch Of The Animus was up only hit one time. My Emerald Shale Hatchling is receiving an inflated win rate thanks to this team. It’s 10-2 but in many battles it hasn’t even been used.

Make it Rain has a nice synergy with Plagued Blood. Don’t have a H/H Emerald Shale Hatching (not yet :-), so i used the Sporeling Sprout as third pet. I’ve got some wins, i’ll keep an eye on this team.

Just in case, remember that Tiny Shale Spider, Topaz, Crimson, and Amethyst Shale Hatchlings share the same moveset, so you *may* have an H/H of these other pets. Unfortunately they only have 1725 instead of 1806 but we’re splitting hairs here.

On second thought, 81 hps for -16 speed sounds worth it…going to go get an H/H Emerald Shale Hatchling lol

I’ve been using the H/H on some other teams, I’m liking it. It doesn’t hit as hard as the P/P of course but there’s more room for error with all of the hp.
