A (short) Day In The Queue
I don’t have much time today but I’ll get a few battles in.

Battle 1: Beige Bandits
Qiraji Guardling, Living Sandling, Direhorn Runt
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Chrominius, Corefire Imp

030513BWith an interrupt and a stun on my team I have to be careful about resilience. I wasn’t careful enough and wasted a Blackout Kick on the Val’kyr when it swapped in with resilience. It made the battle very close. I ended up winning due to Horn Attack procs. An interesting occurrence was the Direhorn Runt getting Howled but then blocking the DoTs with Sandstorm and Trihorn Shield. The direhorns have turned out to be very useful and somewhat versatile since the nerf. Blizzard did a good job with that.
Record: 1-0

Battle 2: Dexy’s Midnight Feigners
Unborn Val’kyr, Scalded Basilisk Hatchling, Treasure Goblin
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Chrominius, Corefire Imp

I’ve been using an Unborn Val’kyr since I got the Treasure Goblin. There’s some nice synergy with the Val’kyr’s DoTs and the the Treasure Goblin’s debuffs. With the Basilisk this team has two feigns and a pseudo-feign in Haunt. This must be an annoying team to face, I’ll admit that. My opponent fled after Crystal Prison, Thrash then Feign Death to waste the Val’kyr’s Curse Of Doom.
Record: 2-0

Battle 3: Dexy’s Midnight Feigners
Unborn Val’kyr, Scalded Basilisk Hatchling, Treasure Goblin
vs. Clockwork Gnome, Anubisath Idol, Fozzilized Hatchling

030514ASince my last opponent fled early I wanted to give this team another try. Rng hated me here. All of my Thrashes against the Fossilized Hatchling only hit two times. Then a Rocket crit killed my Treasure Goblin a turn earlier than expected. I was planning on using Portal the next turn to stall a turn to make sure that the high health Val’kyr would res, but the crit meant I had to bring in the Scalded Basilisk Hatchling to die to the Gnome before the Haunt had run its course.
Record: 2-1

Story of my life whenever I use a pet w/a multi-hit ability. :(

I don’t use them much, but Direhorns are still very tough. The shield is crazy good, but so is an aoe with good damage and a slow. I actually think primal cry is still overtuned. At least the shield is 3 rounds on a 5 round CD.
Horn attack is still very powerful especially with its synergy with primal cry. High damage and 50% chance to interrupt…….And it still has the super powerful priority charge that synergizes perfectly with the beast racial.

When I face AOE teams, I think the one I hate the most is ones with Direhorns and primal cry.
