Today’s Team: Cool For Cats
P/P Cornish Rex Cat (Claw, Rake, Devour)
S/S Mr. Bigglesworth (Ponce, Ice Barrier, Ice Tomb)
S/S Fluxfire Feline (Claw, Flux, Supercharge)

Strategy:
I was fooling around with the Cornish Rex Cat and made a few teams that won some games but nothing that was great. I was winning about half f my battles. If I’m only going to win half of the time I might as well do it with style. So I made this themed cat team. There’s no overarching synergy or huge push to win, I’m just queueing with a fun team and seeing what happens.

Concerns:
There’s a lot of beast moves here. There aren’t a lot of critters to use them on.

The Opposing Team:
P/P Dread Hatchling
P/S Gilnean Raven
H/S Garden Moth

The Battle:
032014BReally? Thanks queue for giving me such an obstacle to overcome. Most of my damage is weak against flyers. I started with the Fluxfire Feline, hoping to get a few AoEs off. The Garden Moth was the first enemy pet. I thought I was going to be able to get the moth below half then out speed it, but I couldn’t even get it below half and I only got off one AoE. I brought out Mr. Bigglesworth. I thought that if I used Ice Tomb during the turn when the moth was cocooned the next pet would come into a stun and I may have a chance. Unfortunately the weak damage from Pounce couldn’t take out the moth so the Ice Tomb came down on the turn that the moth died, wasting my a precious non-beast move. That was the end of any hope I may have had. The Dread Hatchling cleaned up while the Gilnean Raven watched.

I played my Three Kitties (Cornish Rex, Mr Bigglesworth and Cinder Kitten) for a while as a fun team. It got some wins, mainly when one of my team was particularly strong against an unbalanced opposition, and never against FOTM teams. I love watching my cute little Cinder Kitten in action, although she is underwhelming in most situations, so I made a Three Kitties Redux (Feline Familiar, Mr Bigglesworth, Cinder Kitten) which is considerably more successful as well as putting a smile on my face every time I bring it out.

Those sound like fun teams. I keep putting off getting a Cinder Kitten. Hopefully it’ll be on sale for $5.

C’mon! You can’t give up after one shitty match up! Did you do any more?
