Gone Wildin’
I’m kind of bored battling today but I’ll be away for a few days so I’m feeling obligated to do the daily before I leave. Why not make it interesting with all wild pets?

Battle 1: Kun-Lai Ropers
Prairie Mouse, Kun-Lai Runt, Alpine Hare
vs. Sunreaver Micro-Sentry, Clockwork Gnome, Darkmoon Zeppelin

060714AI replaced the Summit Kid with a Prairie Mouse on this team, I just don’t like the goat’s second move which is a choice between Counterstrike and Soothe. Who will the KLR rope now? As if I needed another reason to dislike the ugly yeti it missed the Deep Freeze. Not cool. My opponent only needed two pets to take me down, the Darkmoon Zeppelin didn’t even see any action.
Record: 0-1

Battle 2: President Fjord
Fjord Rat, Fjord Worg Pup, Maggot
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Fiendish Imp, Giant Bone Spider

060714BThis battle went much better for me. After my initial shock at the size of my rat (not quite as big as the Giant Sewer Rat but still impressively large) I put Poison Fang/Stampede combo on the Val’kyr before it cast Haunt. The main reason I ended up winning this battle is becasue the Fiendish Imp stayed in when it shouldn’t have after a Howl. All of the critter damage against the two undead pets didn’t hurt either.
Record: 1-1

Battle 3: Jade Forest Jammers
Wild Jade Hatchling, Leopard tree Frog, Shrine Fly
vs. Fire-Proof Roach, Voodoo Figurine, Pandaren Monk

060714DSince the Tiny Twister has become my lightning pet of choice my old favorite Wild Jade Hatchling doesn’t see much action anymore. It was fun brining it out for this map buddy team. At first I was worried about the Voodoo Figurine cleansing the Cyclone but after the roach cast Apocalypse I was safe. I mean, you wouldn’t cleanse your own Apocalypse and cause your immediate death would you? Apparently my opponent didn’t know it worked that way and did just that. Live and learn, my friend. It was hard to come back after that, especially after I back lined the frog with 23 hp to bring out when Apocalypse hit.
Record: 2-1

Battle 4: Borean Bliss
Tundra Penguin, Alpine Hare, Oily Slimeling
vs. Emerald Proto Whelp, Clockwork Gnome, Ghostly Skull

Losing to such mediocre teams is sort of frustrating, but that’s what I’m opening myself up to by playing with these teams. I ran away after the penguin died because there was absolutely no way I was going to be able to take down the EPW with a rabbit and an ooze. That’s the second Clockwork Gnome I’ve lost to tonight, so sad.
Record: 2-2

Battle 5: Blade’s Edge Livers
Scalded Basilisk Hatchling, Cogblade Raptor, Squirrel
vs. Jademist Dancer, Blighthawk, Emperor Crab

Tough way to end the end the night against this powerful comp. I did okay against the clonedance part but in the end it was Surge that gave me the most trouble. Have a nice week!
Record: 2-3
