Today’s Team: Try Some Beetle
S/S Gold Beetle (Flank, Survival, Swarm)
H/H Scourged Whelpling (Tail Sweep, Death And Decay, Plagued Blood)
P/P Son Of Animus (Metal Fist, Touch Of The Animus, Extra Plating)

Rationale:
Since I’ve been running a lot of top tier pets lately I haven’t been too interested in blogging. Writing about bullying people with a DAH isn’t really too interesting. In my defense I haven’t touched an Unborn Val’kyr. Those things disgust me at the moment due to seeing them nonstop in the queue. I wanted to do the write up about something a little more interesting when I came across this team. This team is more about finding a place for a beetle rather than making a good Son Of Animus team. I thought that Flank would be good against all the undead one encounters in PvP and could also reap the benefits of Touch Of The Animus and Plagued Blood.

Concerns:
The pet with Touch Of The Animus on it can be swapped out to avoid the heals.

The Opposing Team:
H/P Dread Hatchling
S/B Panther Cub
H/P Stitched Pup

The Battle:
062814AThe battle started as Dread Hatchling versus my Scourged Whelpling. I thought this was a good match up because I wasn’t sure how I was going to take out the flyer otherwise. Those two pets cancelled each other out so now it was two versus two. My beetle had strong attacks against the Stitched Pup and Son Of Animus had strong attacks against the Panther Cub so I was in good shape. We brought in Son Of Animus and the Stitched Pup. This seemed like a good match-up for my opponent, but it allowed me to get Touch Of The Animus up. I swapped to my beetle and my opponent didn’t swap so it ended up being very easy to finish the battle off. Strong Flanks on the pup and then a Swarm to set the panther up for Son Of Animus made quick work of it.

Its strange how different the meta’s are, in my meta I haven’t seen a val’kyr in a week and even then they’re kind of rare. People like me (and others I’m sure) started running val’kyr counters and made them useless.

What I see a ton of are humanoids, Qiraji (they’re new to many so understandable) Kun-Lai Runt and various others in every battle. Started using grubs with undead moves (making me vulnerable to val’kyrs lol)
