Today’s Team: Beakbone Grinder
H/P Macabre Marionette (Macabre Maraca, Death and Decay, Bone Barrage)
H/P Mechanical Axebeak (Peck, Haywire, Decoy)
P/S Stonegrinder (Screeching Gears, Thunderbolt, Clean Up)

Rationale:
I like using the Macabre Marionette. Can I just stop there? So far this team is 11-2-1, which is pretty good for a team without top-tier pets. I’ve beaten a few Graves teams, but got spanked really bad by a Graves/Murkalot (the third was a Spawn Of G’Nathus so I cant call it a MGMPD :P). What’s nice about a team without a clear cut strategy like this one is that you can just play off the opposing team. What has been happening in most of the wins is that I start with the puppet to get the field effects going, stay in until it’s dead, bring in the flyer for Decoy and damage, then finish off the battle with a single target Thunderbolt.

The Opposing Team:
B/B Jademist Dancer
P/S Ikky
P/S Fossilized Hatchling

The Battle:
I felt like trying something new so I made a video. Instead of doing the battle then going back to do a voice over I decided it would be more interesting to do real time audio.

So… it’s harder than I thought to do real time audio. I was sort of nervous and a couple of things didn’t come out quite right. The mic was too close to my face and you can hear my mouth smacking, gross. I promise that I don’t eat like that! As time goes on (if I choose to do this regularly) I’ll sort out these issues. The video quality looks good, can’t complain about that. Oh yeah, I mentioned that this was my first video, but I actually did one long ago. As you can see I put much more time into that one:

    Seems like a good idea.

Create a logo – Mutual of Orgrimmar’s Wild Kingdom. Starring Murloc Perkins.

Battle with pets caught in the wild. It would be a hoot.

Of course you may not be old enough to remember that. Just look up Marlin Perkins then.

I wasn’t sure about the video until I watched it, but you actually sell yourself short. I would say you put together a really good presentation. No mic issues as far as I am concerned – you came through loud and clear!

As for which method of presentation you stick with in the long term, I would say whichever you find easier. I like reading your reports and now I like viewing and listening to battles also.

Your workload has been discussed several times in the past and I’m sure the community would be happier with whichever method of presentation caused the least stress for you.

Keep it up – you may make a YouTube fan out of me yet!

Thanks for the feedback. Right now it seems like it will be pretty easy to do videos on a regular basis. I don’t want to go in that direction completely, but I’m hoping to do a mixture of writing/video like I did on 6/27/15.

One issue I was having was that my Youtube channel was linked to a different email and I had switch between emails, it was getting annoying. I made a new channel called “Discodoggy’s Battles” linked to my current WoW email and re-uploaded the two recent videos to that channel. Just letting people know in case they subscribed to the other channel. Working out the kinks :)
