Today’s Team: Picketing Crab
S/S Jademist Dancer (Steam Vent, Rain Dance, Acid Rain)
H/H Spirit Crab (Snap, Surge, Shell Shield)
H/P Fragment Of Anger (Seethe, Spirit Beam, Soulrush)

Rationale:
The crab is picketing due its recent demotion to the high tier. I brought it back for this team because of its huge health pool and Surge. Teroclaw Hatchling is the biggest bully on my block at the moment with the MPD right behind it. Right behind that is probably my own two super combos (serpent/sproutling, FoA/Trunks). Sorry battlers, I hate Teroclaw Hatchlings so much that with every team design there’s a thought of “how will this do against MPDs and the evil healy bird”? I’m so sick of it that I started to use a Jademist Dancer more regularly. This team is a 2.5 (2 top and 1 high) on the tier scale so it will unfortunately crush the casual team. Blame the bird! And support your local Spirit Crab (which I forgot to mention will benefit from Acid Rain)! So far this team is 4-0-1.

Concerns:
I don’t want to crush the little guys. Blame the bird!

The Opposing Team:
H/S Fragment Of Desire
B/B Tiny Harvester
H/H Fel Flame

The Battle:
060215BFace off! The battle started out with desire versus anger. A 289 speed Soulrush stunned me on the first round, how rude. Rather than damage me on the round that I was stunned my opponent instead cast Reflective shield. Hmm, not a good move. The faces damaged one another, the stun meant that instead of the usual two uses of Spirit Beam my FoA only got one off before expiring. I brought in my Jademist Dancer, it cast Steam Vent to take the opposing fragment to 0, then got stunned. Damn, twice in a row.

060215AMy opponent brought in the Tiny Harvester next, which I thought was a good move. Even though it did weak damage, it had shield to eat the buffed moves of the dancer and more importantly the Fel Flame wouldn’t take any strong hits from the dancer. After one weak attack against my elemental my opponent swapped in the Fel Flame. A crit on the swap did over 1,100 damage to the Fel Flame, another Steam Vent finished it off. The Jademist Dancer then took out the Tiny Harvester, leaving the Spirit Crab more time to write appeals on the back line.

I also resort to the s/s Dancer to thrash Teroclaws quickly. There are not many easy answers to them otherwise.

    A quick Graves report:
I grabbed Graves late last night and spun him into 2 quick pvp battles..here’s a snapshot:

I decided to go all OP and pair it with Murkalot and the Fragment of Anger..for the first Battle, I faced 2 p/p nexus whelps and an s/s Bronze whelp ! Not an easy trio…the Righteously Inspired Grave Destruction did 3 x 445 dmg to start off, then Bonestorm added 3 x 250ish on the second attack. You can guess how this 2k damage (done in 2 attacks) turn out. It was a win.. but a bit closer than you’d think since Graves and the FoA each ate some mana surges in Arcane wind storm weather..the weakened Bronze whelp had to deal with a pretty healthy Murkalot in the end and lost out

The second battle had me facing 3 Froggies (leopard tree frog , Biletoad and Yellow bellied bullfrog) This was intriguing since my 2 undeads were doing weak dmg to them and they were hitting me for strong dmg -had cleansing rain and had heals! In the end it was not that close. The frog kisses only transformed my pets twice and none after a R.Inspiration buff attack.

No real contest here ..1/3 of my pets died

Graves has 1668 hp ..211 speed and 314 pwr. I think the h/p breed was a good choice for this guy. He is at very least a High tier pet imho and in the right comp it is a true force. We may start to see more stuns in pet pvp and a revival of sandstorms … It will be interesting to see how it evolves

***This was also posted on Warcraft Pets Forum, but adding here since many PVPers visit this site.***

I ran into an odd situation and am hoping others might be able to duplicate it. If it can be duplicated then we should report it to Blizzard.

I decided to start a new character, Blood Elf and got the 10 PVP weekly. I have discovered that if you do the PVP battles in Silvermoon, Eversong Woods, or Ghostlands any wins do not get credited. They do get credited in your achievements, but not with the quest. I did battles with the character from level 18+ in both Undercity, Org, and the aforementioned zones. Only in the BC areas did I not get credit.

If anyone else feels like trying this out to confirm I would appreciate it. Also if anyone wants to try on the Alliance side BC zones (Bloodmyst Isle etc), that would be useful too.

While generally not a big deal since most people pick up the quest in Org or MoP cities, it was a surprise since I got the quest and then hearthstone back to my starting area.
