5.friday
Welcome to 5.friday, where only teams that I used in MoP are allowed.

Battle 1: Beige Bandits
Qiraji Guardling, Stunted Direhorn, Living Sandling
vs. Ruby Droplet, Chrominius, Kun-Lai Runt

070315ASandstorm is good for long boring battles. The Ruby Droplet is good for long boring battles. You guessed it, it was a long and boring battle. It got exciting when Chrominius hit me with an unexpected Surge of Power, but that was about it. Sandstorm and Trihorn Shield gave the direhorn great protection, it completely blocked the droplet’s Absorb. Pfft, you kids these days and your Shell Armor, back when I was your age we had to cast Sandstorm, then cast Trihorn Shield for that type of protection, all after walking uphill in the snow in both directions. The Ruby Droplet fled in round twenty-nine, probably to try out some of that new fandangled Shell Armor.
Record: 1-0

Battle 2: Bog Bastards
Fiendish Imp, Sen’Jin Fetish, Tiny Bog Beast
vs. by Droplet, Chrominius, Kun-Lai Runt

070315BSame team as last battle, same result, although this time it was much quicker. The imp and mask combo has performed very well in WoD. The Tiny Bog Beast does well when faster than all the enemy pets as was the case in this battle. The KLR was a P/P, which meant that my imp would be faster even with the speed debuff. Okay, if this is what the meta is like then maybe I don’t even need to play with good MoP teams. In case you did not infer as much, I will inform you that it was easy victory thanks to my speed.
Record: 2-0

Battle 3: Flaming Gobbo
Unborn Val’kyr, Fel Flame, Treasure Goblin
vs. Graves, Alterac Brew-Pup, Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling

070315DThis battle was pretty damn fun, and ended a lot closer than you might think. The MPD survived with only 270 and failsafe. Ok, I guess it wasn’t that close, but to be honest I really didn’t play well at all. After the valk I should have brought my Treasure Goblin in but instead I came with the Fel Flame. This meant that my unfortunate goblin never made it off the back line thanks to the strong AoE. It was still fun. Perhaps I didn’t care as much since earlier I spanked the pants off of this team with Rick Frostly. Normally I wouldn’t pat myself on the back for winning with such a high powered team, but c’mon, you know you love to see an MPD team lose even more than a Graves team. Maybe not, but I sure do.
Record: 2-1

Battle 4: Winterspring Warriors
Alpine Hare, Robo-Chick, Rabid Nut Varmint 5000
vs. Graves, Alterac Brew-Pup, Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling

070315CNever underestimate a well-played rabbit. Hmm, was it really well played? Actually, I just spammed Flurry, hitting five out of six against Graves, then taking out the MPD with a flurry of Flurry (sorry, I had to). I didn’t use Dodge until my rabbit faced the ABP. By then I think the drubbing had taken its toll, because the drunken dog tried to Bite through the avoid rather than heal Graves. Perhaps they had thrown in the towel. I would have won anyways thanks to two times the mech racial, the bad play just made it less close than it could have been.
Record: 3-1

Not a bad showing for the MoP teams. I’ll do this again, just not every Friday because that would get quite old.
