Five Wins Or Bust
I told you I’d showcase the POTM teams, so here I am.

Battle 1: Critikill
Servant Of Demidos, Left Shark, Junglebeak
vs. Restless Shadeling, Nexus Whelpling, Rapana Whelk

071815CThe Servant of Demidos started off with a crit Soulrush, living up to the team’s name. It took two more rounds of Magic Sword to finish the dragon. The snail was next up, my SoD did some damage to it then died prematurely thanks to a crit. The Junglebeak handled the snail and was kind enough to leave a round of Rain Dance waiting for the Left Shark. A couple of Tail Slaps took the undead pet to zero health. A swapless and straight forward battle.
Record: 1-0

Battle 2: Demi More
Servant Of Demidos, Hydraling, Infinite Whelpling
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Graves, Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling

071815DI got off to such a great start: SoD stunned the valk, and by the time it expired it only had hit me once for damage along with leaving a Curse Of Doom. Graves was next, I damaged it as it did its AoE thing. After it killed my magic pet it swapped to the MPD. I brought in the Hydraling; after losing it appears that the Infinite Whelpling would have been a better choice, who knows. What I do know is that what started off looking good ended up not even being close; my Infinite Whelpling contributed nothing thanks to all of the AoE damage.
Record: 1-1

Battle 3: Rick Frostly
Graves, Ghastly Kid, Frostwolf Ghostpup
vs. Graves, Chi-Chi, Rabbit

071815BI should really change the name of this team to “I heard you like Graves. Guess what? Me too!” since I run it so much after encountering Graves/MPD or even just Graves teams. In probably the best testament to the power of the undead racial I don’t really fear rabbits anymore with this team. Sure, they do more damage than many other pets (if they hit a triple Flurry or two), but they die easily and have a low enough health pool to be a back line liability. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my rabbits against undead, but they are not the undead assassins that they once were thanks to so many incredibly good undead pets around. The rabbit I faced in this battle was a minor hump on the way to an easy win. No revenge for me unfortunately.
Record: 2-1

Battle 4: DemiFIRE
Cinder Pup, Servant Of Demidos, Chi-Chi
vs. Molten Corgi, Unborn Val’kyr, Pandaren Water Spirit

071815AWhen I see a Pandaren Water Spirit I immediately think of how I’m going to avoid the telegraphed double whammy of Geyser and Whirlpool, then I usually drift off and think of what I’m going to do after I win. Seriously, this pet is a PvP liability. After having written that, it seems weird to write that it actually gave me some problems. I was planning on using Feign Death to avoid the combo, but the valk started instead. I shouldn’t have been too surprised by that. Instead of saving the feign for when the combo went off I feigned with enough health to survive the valk’s spooking so I could bring Chi-Chi back in later to eat the combo. Sounds good, except somehow Chi-Chi died, either by a crit or a miscalculation on my part. This meant that later on I had to eat the combo with my Cinder Pup. Sounds bad, but over the course of the battle Volcano stunned twice, which was a major PITA for my opponent to deal with. It ended up being a close battle that ended in victory for me.
Record: 3-1

Battle 5: Demifrost
Servant Of Demidos, Frostwolf Ghostpup, Royal Peachick
vs. Nexus Whelpling, Nexus Whelpling, Nexus Whelpling

071815EJust what every flier wants to see. I started off with the Royal Peachick so I could avoid the first round of Mana Surge. My undead puppy came in and gave a duty-free Ghostly Bite to the first dragon, then killed it with a Scratch. The undead racial allowed it to stay in the battle long enough to get another Ghostly Bite off against the second dragon. SoD replaced the pup and killed off the second dragon with Siphon Anima. By the time my bird had to face off against the final dragon it still had the flying racial and was able to win the battle with an Arcane Storm. Thankfully for me it’s an even split move now.
Record: 4-1

Battle 6: Demolition Derpy
Iron Starlette, Servant Of Demidos, Bone Serpent
vs. Death Adder Hatchling, Teroclaw Hatchling, Bonkers

071815FI was worried about this battle due to both my inexperience with the Iron Starlette and the fact that this team had beaten me a few times earlier today. My sleepiness is making it difficult for my brain to conjure up words, so I’ll bust out some lazy style…
Round 1: Poison Fang / Powerball
Round 2: Blinding Poison / Wind-Up
Round 3: Punture Wound / Powerball
Round 4: swap to Bonkers / Wind-Up (release)
Round 5: Wind-Up / Jab
Round 6: Wind-Up (release), (Bonkers dies, DAH in)
Round 7: Powerball / Poison Fang, (Iron Starlette dies, BS in)
Round 8: Blinding Poison / Bone Barrage, 1 hit
Round 9: Poison Fang / Call Darkness
Round 10: Puncture Wound / Nocturnal Strike (DAH dies, Teroclaw Hatchling in)
Round 11: Dodge/ Bone Barrage
Round 12: Claw / pass
Round 13: Claw / Bone Barrage (BS to 0)
Round 14: Nature’s Ward / Nocturnal Strike
Round 15: Claw / Soulrush (Teroclaw Hatchling died)
Mindless transcription for the win.
Record: 5-1
