Team Name: Retaliating Six
S/S Arctic Hare (Flurry, Dodge, Burrow)
S/S Mongoose Pup (Gnaw, Survival, Dive)
P/P Sen’Jin Fetish (Shadow Slash, Immolate, Sear Magic)
Strategy:
Earlier on the forums I made a post comparing rabbits and mongooses as counters to the most common pets on my meta. At least one of them is a good counter to Val’kyrs, Death Adders, and Lil’ Ragnaros. Another common pet has been the Idol (currently 6th most common, surpassed earlier by the Brew Pup). Throw in the Sen’Jin fetish and now I have decent counters to four of the most popular pets on my meta. They’re all counters to Val’kyrs, I hope I get one. Based on the data collected so far I have about a 20% chance of seeing one. The strategy is simply to counter the common big time pets that I encounter regularly.
Concerns:
There’s not much synergy here. There’s not much attack potential. How will I ever take down a shielded aquatic? Due to the low health pool AoE has been a big problem. This team was doing well earlier (except versus AoE) but I think I had favorable match-ups. After taking a closer look I’m scared. Queue, I throw myself to your mercy!

Howl bombs for Christmas!
The Battle:
No Val’kyrs to mess with but this a really easy match-up for me. This team beat me recently because I had no avoidance. When you get Howled with an Ice Tomb hanging over your head you really wish you could Dodge. Or Sear Magic. Or Dive. I think I’m prepared today. I start with the Fetish which Shadow Slashed the Helper as it put up the Ice Tomb. The Foxling Kit took an Immolate on the swap. The Howl comes and goes quickly as Sear Magic cleanses both the Tomb and the Howl. Nice going wooden mask thing. I thought my opponent might swap so I stayed in but three strong Flurries made me pay for my mistake. Ok, swap to the Mongoose Pup. After that Deathwing came in. Cataclysm hit for 856 damage. Really? Too bad I started during Cata and didn’t get one of those. I’ll I got is a stupid Lucky Quillen Pup lol. Next the Mongoose cast Survival but it couldn’t take Deathwing out before expiring. Since Deathwing was at around 100 hp I thought it better to just die rather than swap and take more Deathwing damage.
The Arctic Hare came in and easily finished off Deathwing. The Foxling was next and I was a little bit scared that it would cast Dazzling Dance and seriously gimp my rabbit. Thankfully all three Flurries hit and one crit to take out the Foxling. Now it was weak attack versus weak attack in the bunny versus elf showdown. Father Winter’s Helper tried for a few rounds, but after the Ice Tomb was avoided it ran away. There wasn’t much hope with that Sen’Jin Fetish sitting back there anyways. So far this team has done well today with the exception of facing AoE teams.
