Today’s Team: Dragon Dinner
P/P Rotten Little Helper (Club, Booby-Trapped Presents, Call Blizzard)
S/S Enchanted broom (Broom, Sweep, Wind-Up)
H/H Emperor Crab (Snap, Healing Wave, Shell Shield)

Strategy:
So I logged in today and thought I’d get a few battles in before I decide what to do the write-up on. I lost twice to Celestial Dragon and Xu-Fu team. It was annoying because I lost to missing kill shots on Xu-Fu. So I made this sniper team. Yes, rng has made me so petty that I sniped a mediocre team. The plan was to use a non-mech (due to Flamethrower) to throw some mines down and a non-humanoid (since I already had one) swapper. The Helper was the perfect pet since in addition to Booby-Trapped Presents (mines) he has a humanoid move for the dragon. The Broom was chosen for its speed. Originally I had my Spirit Crab as a third but I forgot about the current Val’kyr inundation so I replaced it with an Emperor Crab. P/P gets all the glory but sometimes I like to use an H/H for a little bit of cushion. Sure it’s not 357 power like the P/P but it can still dish out decent Snaps at 292 power. It’s like a Spirit Crab that traded in Whirlpool and the undead racial for a heal. Not nearly as good as the Spirit Crab but still great against Val’kyrs. Well, I swept that Xu-Fu right into the Presents, it wasn’t pretty. I played a few more with this team and it did okay. I like it because it has some pets I usually don’t use.

It seems like I talk more about team creation than the actual strategy lately. The strategy is usually simple, like today. Put Booby-Trapped Presents down with the Helper. Then do a forced swap with the Broom. Make sure to take all Haunts with the Crab. There ya go.

Concerns:
This team will do fine against Val’kyrs but what about the other high frequency pets: Imps, Ragnaros, Idols, Tonks.

The Opposing Team:
H/H Magical Crawdad
P/S Zao
B/B Muckbreath

The Battle:
011714BI would have felt bad if I wasn’t facing a Crawdad. The Crawdad started and Zao was in the second slot just waiting to be swept into pain. My Helper started and laid down the Booby-Trapped Presents. I then swapped to the Enchanted broom. Zao was juicy but I had to be patient. I cast Wind-Up. The Crawdad healed itself and then it was time. Sweep brought Zao into 1k+ damage, Wind-Up deals 1k+ more. So mean. The Crawdad reappeared, I swapped to the Helper and the scenario repeated itself. Muckbreath got forced into Presents for a 1k+ crit, then Wind-Up added 700 more damage. So mean, again.

011714ANow it may seem to be over but I’m afraid of getting stuck in an endless healing battle with the Crawdad and my Crab. I think I could win it but I’m not sure how it’ll play out. I do what I can with the Broom then the Helper. Now it’s up to the Crab to hit two Snaps. One Snap hit, the next one would be a game winner, a miss would mean a Wish heal. Thankfully it hit to end the Crawdad and the battle. I don’t mind being mean to Crawdads. At all.

Sweep swaps to the highest health pet, not the one in the second slot. Or am I missing something?

You are correct, but both Muckbreath and Zao had the same hp (1481). I’m pretty sure it takes the second slot if that’s the case but to be honest I’m not 100% on that. Perhaps it’s random. I appreciate the attention to detail, thanks for the comment. If I ever give some wrong info I hope I get called out quick so as to not be a purveyor of misinformation.
