Today’s Team: Stepson Of Disease
P/B Infected Fawn (Flurry, Adrenaline Rush, Death and Decay)
H/P Infected Squirrel (Stampede, Creeping Fungus, Consume)
P/P Son Of Animus (Metal Fist, Touch Of The Animus, Extra Plating)
After yesterday I was torn between a Nut Varmint or an Infected Squirrel team. I went the undead route.

Strategy:
Touch Of The Animus. Awesome. All damage done to an opponent with Touch applied causes the damager to get healed for around 170. Doesn’t sound like a lot but if you can get a few DoTs going those 170s really add up. The plan is to start with the Fawn to put down DnD. From there I’m not sure. I’ll probably then use the Squirrel for Creeping Fungus but maybe not Stampede (blasphemous, I know). If I don’t Stampede I’ll Consume then swap to Animus shoot of a Touch which will heal both the undead on the back line. Hopefully some big heals are in my future.

Concerns:
Idols are a big concern with all the DoTs and multiple attacks. Flurry being a weak attack aganainst humans makes that situation worse. The good news is that Animus can do reasonably well against the Idol, even against Rupture.

The Opposing Team:
P/B Fiendish Imp
S/S Enchanted Broom
H/P Darkmoon Tonk
When one forced swap just isn’t enough.

The Battle:
011214BI need to put on my big boy pants for this one. Planning around one swapper is tough, planning around two is somewhat befuddling. The Imp started versus my Fawn. Either a Gate or Immolation is fine with me. The Imp chose Immolation so the DnD went down. Next turn the Gate came so my Squirrel is in. The Broom came in to take a Creeping Fungus then Sweep out the Squirrel for Animus. So far it’s not going too bad for me. Animus applies Touch so both undead are getting the little bit of hp they lost back from the DoTs. Animus ended up killing the Broom with a few Metal Fists (and the DoTs), although he needed to use his Failsafe. The Tonk was next. Animus only had 37 hp left when I swapped him out (for the Squirrel) to eat the impending Minefield. The Tonk used Charge on the swap. After that a Minefield went down before I applied Fungus. Now I’m worried since my Fawn is in the second slot so it will come in when the Imp Gates.

011214CI should have just eaten the Mines then but I decide to take a risk and Fungus and Stampede. My thought was that I didn’t want to eat the mines with Animus then not be able to take out the Tonk before another Minefield went down. At least this way I have that Animus back there waiting to eat the Minefield in case my opponent plays it wrong. The Squirrel cast Stampede but my opponent was having none of my garbage plan, the Imp was brought back to Gate. I was thinking gg when yet again there was some divine rng intervention. No Gate for you! It missed. Now the Imp is taking a Stampede but there’s no Fungus so it’s not doing much damage. After the Imp refreshed Immolation the Tonk came right back to Ion Cannon the Squirrel, bringing it to 0. After its undead round Animus ate the Minefield as planned. Your mines did 37 damage! The Fawn used Adrenaline Rush and Flurry to try and take out the debuffed Tonk but couldn’t finish it off before it recovered. It got a Charge off on the Fawn. Now it’s Fawn versus Imp and unfortunately Flurry was weak against the humanoid. DnD helped but the Fawn couldn’t take the Imp out fast enough so the battle ended in a draw.
