Today’s Team: Terrible Turnip Events
P/S Terrible Turnip (Tidal Wave, Leech Seed, Sons Of The Living Root)
H/P Huge Toad (Water Jet, Healing Wave, Swarm Of Flies)
P/S Corefire Imp (Burn, Immolation, Wild Magic)

Strategy:
I’ve been playing around with the Terrible Turnip a little bit here and there. Instead of hating it for Sons Of The Living Root I decided to give a shot and see if I could make Sons work for me. I thought it would be cool to have Sons hit an enemy pet with Wild Magic up, then I thought it would be even better with a Swarm Of Flies. That’s about as far as my thoughts went on this one, it gets a 1/10 for theory crafting. The plan is to start with the Corefire Imp to cast Immolation and Wild Magic. Then I’ll swap to one of the other pets for either Swarm or Sons. Could work, who knows?

Concerns:
The Huge Toad might be able to absorb some undead damage but otherwise there’s no good Val’kyr counter. If I see a Death Adder I should just start crying. Critters are a good soft counter to my team.

The Opposing Team:
H/S Mojo
S/B Silky Moth
H/P Pandaren Earth Spirit

The Battle:
020614AI stuck to the plan with the Imp starting versus Mojo. The Imp immolated while Mojo cast Frog Kiss. Eww, I’ll probably see some kiss spam. The next round saw Wild Magic and another Frog Kiss. I swapped to my own amphibian as Mojo healed. Swarm Of Flies started to worry my opponent with the Wild Magic because Mojo swapped to the Silky Moth. Or maybe they saw a juicy aquatic target. Either way I wasn’t going to stay in for that. I was planning on swapping to the Terrible Turnip but I accidentally brought in the Imp. I blame the interesting television show on Pangolins. Now there’s a pet we need for pet battles. I wasn’t a disaster having the Imp come back, I refreshed Immolation and got a Wild Magic up on the Silky Moth but it swiftly swapped. This was a semi long battle at thirty-three rounds so I’ll speed it up a bit. Every time I brought in the Huge Toad my opponent swapped to the Silky Moth. To which I responded by swapping every time then watching the flier take damage from Immolation. Moth Dust never procced the sleep. Towards the end of the battle the Terrible Turnip got Polymorphed by the Frog Kiss before it could cast Sons. I swapped out and then had to be careful because I had two pets slower than Mojo that wouldn’t survive getting attacked on the swap then again the next round. I had to wait until I thought Mojo would heal. The plan worked, I swapped when Mojo healed so the Terrible Turnip survived getting attacked then went under for Sons to win the battle. I think I’ll try a Sen’Jin Fetish as the Wild Magic pet next time.

I think this team is actually pretty good. I would have used an SS leopard tree frog with tongue lash to get even more out of wild magic.

This team originally had an S/S Leopard Tree Frog on it but I wanted some bulk. The faster frog did work well too.
