The Quick Three
It’s the last day of 6.0 and I’d like to choose three more “keeper” teams before 6.1 hits. So many choices.
Battle 1: Boltmaster Arson
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, Fiendish Imp, Frostwolf Ghostpup
vs. Weebomination, Bronze Whelpling, Ore Eater
The Fiendish Imp is still a force to be reckoned with. I’m really glad that I had it against the Bronze Whelpling, that dragon can really mess you up if it’s faster. The Ore Eater wasn’t an S/S so my MPD was faster. I had the Frostwolf Ghostpup to do strong damage against the Weebomination, so overall I countered this team pretty well. All of my pets survived thanks to some well timed gating and one unfortunate swap that brought the dragon right into a Ghostly Bite. I really should start using the Bronze Whelpling more; it’s such an awesome pet with its speed, avoid and stun. I do hate how it’s so weak against mechs though.
Battle 2: Tweakerville
Forest Sproutling, Black Lamb, Mulgore Hatchling
vs. Grunty, Fluxfire Feline, Grunty
Tweakerville has been an interesting team to play. Soothe has worked well by giving the Mulgore Hatchling time to cast Shell Shield and the Forest Sproutling time to cast Refuge. This team has not done as well against the AoE teams as I’d hoped, but it does well against average teams like this.
Battle 3: Sweeps McFlyboy
Zandalari Anklerender, Teroclaw Hatchling, Weebomination
vs. Fiendish Imp, Ikky, Frostwolf Ghostpup
Oh snap, I played the evil Weebomination and I lost. Boy is my face red. I made the mistake of keeping the Weebomination in against the Frostwolf Ghostpup. The imp was able to heal on the back line from both the humanoid racial and the Haunting Song. I really should have known better since I’ve been doing exactly the same thing against Weebominations. I can’t end 6.0 like that, I think I’ll do one more.
Battle 4: Geargrinders
Fiendish Imp, Sen’Jin Fetish, Stonegrinder
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Lil’ Deathwing, Lil’ Bling
Ahh, that’s more like it. The imp ripped up the mech as usual.
