Today’s Team: Dulled School
H/P Blighthawk (Infected Claw, Ghostly Bite, Lift-Off)
S/S Alpine Hare (Flurry, Dodge, Burrow)
P/P Death Talon Whelpguard (Shadowflame, Whirlwind, Clobber)

Rationale:
I’ve been using rabbits a lot these past few days so I chose that first. I was scrolling through pets looking for something interesting when the DTW caught my eye. I realized that humanoids might give me trouble so I chose the Blighthawk to counter them. That’s how this less than amazing team came to exist. So far it’s won more than it’s lost, but I haven’t faced too many top teams. With no real overall game plan I’ve just been playing off of what I think my opponent will do. Sometimes that’s a good thing; it doesn’t bog you down with a set or obvious rotation.

Concerns:
Clobber is a risky move on a 260 speed pet. Darkflame is probably a better choice, but the little kid is like “I want! I want!”. Kid 1 – adult 0. Lift-Off wouild be better on a faster blighthawk, but I don’t have the P/S version. This isn’t the first time I’ve wanted a P/S Blighthawk, but Western Plaguelands seems… so… far. And that would require me to leave my garrison. Who does that anymore?

The Opposing Team:
S/S Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling
P/S Alterac Brew Pup
H/P Macabre Marionette

The Battle:
021515AMan, I really don’t like losing the daily. Even worse, I hate long battles because they’re too hard to report. The final Decoy led to my loss. I ended up taking down the first and the second Decoy with my rabbit, but I let the little guy die before the third went down. I thought that I would be able to finish the battle before the third Decoy, but the battle took longer to end than I thought it would. I guess that means I screwed up, doh.

Overall it was a decently played battle with a lot of counters and swapping. At one point the ABP got off a really powerful group heal, I surprised at how much it healed for. I need to remember that when I’m trying to come up with group heals to counter AoEs, as that’s a pet that I’ve overlooked. Wow, I just looked at the tool tip, it heals 370 health per pet. How did I overlook this? Now I don’t feel as bad about losing since I learned something good from it; this battle pointed me in the direction of the ABP, so I can take something positive from it.

Disco, my friend, I mentioned the ABP many weeks back. I teamed him up with The Frostwolf Ghostpup and Ikky, remember? Called it Ikky Pup (after Iggy Pop). Remember? You ‘member. ‘Member?

The weakness is his heals don’t heal himself. Fun team against AoE, though, with big hits and group heals. Replaced Ikky with a spider and had better success, but two beasts can be bad. In other words, still a work in progress.

Glad you’ve had an epiphany about the pup, though.

I do remember that. In my defense about recently forgetting, that was eight weeks ago. I should have tried more ABP teams than I did when you first mentioned it >.<

I’ve always found the heal from the brewpup to be too situational to make really good use of myself. Maybe it’s just a fault with how I tend to play. Or maybe I just suck at using AoE healing heh.
