Today’s Team: Certain Fate Escapers
P/S Zandalari Raptor (Hunting Party, Primal Cry, Black Claw)
P/P Droplet Of Y’Shaarj (Swallow You Whole, Acid Rain, Dreadful Breath)
H/P Teroclaw Hatchling (Claw, Dodge, Nature’s Ward)

Rationale:
I wanted to try a team that hits hard and dies fast so there won’t be time for enemy AoE damage to take out my back line. The plan is to do some AoE damage with Primal Cry then do the Black Claw and Hunting Party combo to take the first enemy pet out. Then the Dropley Of Y’Shaarj will come in to do some more powerful AoE damage and also die relatively fast. The Teroclaw Hatchling is on the team as an amazing sweeper. I will tell you that this team hasn’t worked out well so far. I’d say the win rate is at about 50%. Hey, not every idea turns out to be a good idea. Maybe I can grab a win for today’s daily.

Concerns:
Even though a surprising number of people stay in for the raptor combo, good opponents will not. The Teroclaw Hatchling is amazing as a sweeper, but in a couple of battles the first two pets didn’t do enough to soften up the enemy team for the bird to finish things off.

The Opposing Team:
P/P Sunreaver Micro-Sentry
P/S Zandalari Anklerender
S/S Zandalari Kneebiter
Raptor party!

The Battle:
021215AThis was nice and quick. The mech started against my beast. I cast Primal Cry and took a Call Lightning. Black Claw and Fel Immolation were next. I figured there would be a swap but I knew my little beast would be gone soon from the lighting and DoT so I wanted to get some damage in (rather than put Black Claw on the incoming pet). This meant I used Hunting Party instead of another Black Claw. The enemy Zandalari Anklerender swapped in to take the Hunting Party and watch my raptor die from the DoT. That was fast. I brought in my Droplet Of Y’Shaarj and saw that juicy Shattered Defenses debuff up on the enemy raptor. Would it stay in? Yes, and Swallow You Whole made it pay for staying in with a death.

021215BThe next enemy raptor came in. I cast Acid Rain then had Black Claw applied to my elelmental. No way, I’m not staying in for the incoming Hunting Party. I decided to get the hell out and bring in Teroclaw Hatchling. The bird took the damage and debuff on the swap, but was then able to use Dodge to avoid any other damage while killing the raptor (a crit helped it happen faster). The Sunreaver Micro Sentry returned, I pulled out my Teroclaw Hatchling for the elemental, then Acid Rain and Dreadful Breath finished off the battle in a few more rounds. See, told you it was quick.
