Today’s Team: Spudboy’s Pleasure
P/P Sen’Jin Fetish (Shadow Slash, Immolate, Sear Magic)
H/S Scalded Basilisk Hatchling (Crystal Prison, Feign Death, Thrash)
H/H Spirit Crab (Snap, Whirlpool, Shell Shield)

Strategy:
I got my Rotten Helper today then started using it and ended up facing a bunch of Rotten Helpers and Warbots. It was like national Minefield day. Combine this with all of the Val’kyrs and it was like people were begging me to use my Sen’Jin Fetish. Switching other pets out here and there to adjust to the meta led me to this team. It seemed familiar then I remembered this was one of my second tier teams from 5.3, Spudboy’s Pleasure. Hey, it’s doing quite well today, why not use it for the daily? The plan is to start with the Basilisk to tag any slower pets with a Prison then a few Thrashes before Feigning out. If I’m facing a Val’kyr or Minefield pet then I’ll start with the Fetish to Immolate then Sear. The Spirit Crab will be its usual tanky self. Nothing new or exciting, but this team is where the meta led me tonight due to all of the Minefields and Val’kyrs.

Concerns:
My Basilisk is worthless if it’s slower than the opposing pet.

The Opposing Team:
S/S Golden Dragonhawk Hatchling
P/P Lil’ Ragnaros
P/P Harbinger Of Flame

The Battle:
122413BA good ole conflag team. There’s a reason that you don’t see too many of these anymore, it was a faceroll. I began with the Basilisk which had to face the faster Dragonhawk. No problem, I Feigned out to the Spirit Crab. The Dragonhawk cast Flamethrower as I shielded then it cast Conflagrate. Okay, I weathered that storm no problem. Now my opponent should have swapped since Quills will not do much to a shielded opponent. It didn’t happen and the Spirit Crab easily took out the Dragonhawk. The Harbinger was next on the Crab’s menu, the undead snapper nearly took out the humanoid with Snaps and a Whirlpool. The Sen’Jin Fetish finished off the Harbinger easily, now it’s two pets against one. I was still worried about a trap but then I realized it’s a Conflagrate Ragnaros so there was nothing to worry about. The Fetish needed its undead turn but finished off Ragnaros leaving the Basilisk to finish with full health.
