Today’s Team: All Buzz Cons
H/H Fledgling Buzzard (Thrash, Adrenaline Rush, Lift)
S/S Fiendish Imp (Burn, Immolation, Nether Gate)
P/P Warbot (Missile, Minefield, Extra Plating)

Strategy:
Minefield swap teams have a simple strategy: put down your Minefield then swap the opponent into it. The Buzzard is here as an anti-Adder. There are better choices to deal with Adders but I enjoy using this bird. If I’m going to use it regularly I should probably upgrade it to an H/P or even a P/P Dragonbone Hatchling (which is the exact same pet except for the model). For now I have this H/H and it’s doing okay.

Concerns:
With a multiple attack from the Buzzard and a DoT from the Imp, Sandstorm or shields might give me trouble. I will need to use my Warbot responsibly.

The Opposing Team:
P/B Snowy Owl
P/P Stinker
P/S Rabid Nut Varmint 5000
Someone else’s fun team versus my somewhat competitive team. Not only that but my team counters it really well. Today I’m the bully.

The Battle:
122113AMy Warbot threw down the Minefield against the Varmint, who cast Extra Plating. I could have gone to Imp right away for the strong damage but I decided to pop Plating myself. If my damage is mitigated then so is yours. After my Plating wore off I swapped to the Imp. The Imp gated out the Varmint to the Snowy Owl. Thanks to the Minefield it immediately lost its flying bonus, ouch. The Minefield from a 325 power Warbot often does upwards of 700 damage. My Imp cast Immolation as my opponent brought in Stinker. I swapped to the Buzzard as Stinker cast Bleat. Bleat is a really nice AoE heal. I’ve used skunks a few times but moved on right away. I think I need to revisit them. What wasn’t really nice for my opponent was Thrash. It took out Stinker fast with strong attacks (I’m not sure why my opponent didn’t swap). I kept my Buzzard in to take out the Owl then my Imp easily finished off the Varmint.
