Today’s Team: Noobnam Style
H/H Spirit Crab (Snap, Whirlpool, Shell Shield)
H/P Gilded Moth (Alpha Strike, Cocoon Strike, Moth Dust)
S/S Jademist Dancer (Steam Vent, Rain Dance, Acid Rain)
I’ve crossed over to the rng side!

Strategy:
I realized today that I’ve essentially typecast my Jademist Dancer as a Cyclone buffer so I decided to to use it without a Cyclone pet. I was looking for a pet that could benefit from Rain Dance when I came across my Gilded Moth. I always talk crap about Moths and how dependent they are on getting lucky, which is why I don’t use them anymore. Rain Dance just might be solution to that problem. It’ll be hard to line up but perhaps I can get my Moth in to cast a buffed Moth Dust. The Crab is there for a little synergy between Acid Rain and Whirlpool. There’s no set rotation, I’ll have to see what comes my way and play it by ear.

Concerns:
This team doesn’t have a wide range of family attacks, just three: aquatic, flying and beast.

The Opposing Team:
P/B Crow
H/P Blighthawk
B/B Chuck

The Battle:
121113BThe battle began as Crab versus Blighthawk. It used Cyclone and Ghostly Bite my Crab shielded then put down a Whirlpool. My opponent swapped in Chuck who got Snapped. I know the Rip and Blood in the water combo is coming. Rather than swap and lose a turn I’ve found the best way to handle crocs with my Crab is to just eat the damage. That strategy paid off as my Spirit Crab took out Chuck. The Crow came in to finish off the Crab but not before it got a Whirlpool and snap off. On the Crab’s undead turn the Blighthawk came back. I brought in the Dancer to buff whirlpool. It crit, then Steam Vent crit, all of the sudden the Blighthawk is at 0 hp. The Dancer cast Acid Rain to do some damage to the Crow while the Blighthawk brought it down to 155 hp with its final Ghostly Bite. I took the Dancer out for the Moth. Murder put Shattered Defenses on my Moth. I was able to hit a Dust but not a sleep. I thought I had the battle wrapped up but I miscalculated the damage from Murder so I lost my flying racial a turn earlier than I thought. This allowed to Crow to take out my Moth with Darkness, dang. The Dancer came back in to cast Rain Dance, I wasn’t sure If I could survive a hit. Luckily the Crow started to Murder again. A 650 crit Steam Vent ended this very close battle.
