Team Focus: Big Chief
S/S Arctic Hare (Flurry, Dodge, Burrow)
H/P Zomstrok (Infected Claw, Rot, Carpnado)
H/P Vengeful Porcupette (Powerball, Spirit Spikes, Flank)

My recent success with the Vengeful Porcupette and The Warriors gave me the urge to create some new teams with the flanking beast. I wanted to try and take advantage of Zomstrok’s Rot in combination with Flank. Rot has never been my cup of tea, but the alternative of Shell Shield has never really impressed me on Zomstrok. Those two pets don’t have any avoidance, so I threw in a rabbit, which can also benefit from Rot. Of course any naturally undead pets will also suffer from the Flurry and Flank. So far this team is 3-0. The last win was against a MPD, Weeboremenation and Creepy Crate.

With all of the critter damage humanoids could be a problem. Hopefully Zomstrok will step up when facing humanoids.

Battle 1
loss vs. Jademist Dancer, Blighthawk, Junglebeak
082615EWell, that undefeated record didn’t last too long. Clonedance, the original back line griefing team. I used to call for a nerf against clonedance teams; with all of the back line damage around now that seems hilarious. I think my recent lack of practice has made me start to slip into noobdom; I started with the rabbit and used Dodge rather than let the rabbit die fast. Letting it die would have allowed the more powerful pets in to do better damage. Instead I let the weak rabbit stay in to slowly do damage while my back line pets quickly lost health. I should know better.
Record: 0-1

Battle 2
loss vs. Fragment Of Anger, Graves, Bone Serpent
My team with so much undead killing power lost to an triple undead team, that’s not a good sign. The stun from the FoA on Zomstrok sealed the deal and made what was going to be an epic comeback moot. My only consolation was that this person had a jerky pet name so I fear they are a generally unhappy and spiteful person. If I were more like them I would be happy about this (see what I did there). I didn’t get a screen shot.
Record: 0-2

Battle 3
win vs. Teroclaw Hatchling, Bonkers, Death Adder Hatchling
082615HAll of my undead killing power was finally put to good use… against a team without any undead on it. The Vengeful Porcupette can wreak a lot of havoc against the unsuspecting DAH, although I’ve pulled the same sequence off against this same team, so I’m not sure about the unsuspecting part. Blinding Poison/Powerball, Poison Fang/Powerball, Spirit Spikes/Puncture Wounds is lovely for 618 damage to the adder. I continued my speed buffing until the beast was faster than the Teroclaw Hatchling, making it not such a scary bird after all. This turned out being a massacre in my favor.
Record: 1-2

Battle 4
win vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Gilnean Raven, Shimmershell Snail
082615COk, things are looking up for Big Chief. The valk wasn’t an issue, the snail stayed in to take a strong hit after my rabbit used Burrow. The biggest problem was the Gilnean Raven. Its speed was going to be a problem for both the rabbit and the porc. In fact, it made me realize that two pets with critter speed moves might be a bad idea in the long term. For this battle I handled the raven with Zomstrok. Luckily there were no darkness misses so Zomstrok was able to bring the bird below its racial, making it less of a problem for my speed moves. I don’t see myself playing this team much more, I think I’ll replace the rabbit with something less similar to the porc. I’ll do one last battle since I have the energy for it.
Record: 2-2

Battle 5
win vs. Fiendish Imp, Mechanical Scorpid, Son Of Sethe
082615GI can’t really say this was a tough battle, but it was somewhat long due to all the blinds and avoids. The rabbit was great against all three pets, as was the porc. Zomstrok didn’t really shine, it never really has for me. I’m not ready to give up on it yet, perhaps a seeking a third is in order for the Zomstrok and Porcupette combo.
Record: 3-2

The comment setting being set to “don’t allow” only went this far back. Just for the record that was completely unintentional. I appreciate all of your comments and opinions and think that this site would quite boring without them. Keep em’ coming!
