Today’s Team: Bronies Before Ponies
P/P Sen’Jin Fetish (Flame Breath, Wild Magic, Sear Magic)
H/S Tiny Bog Beast (Clobber, Lash, Rampage)
H/P Vengeful Porcupette (Powerball, Spirit Spikes, Flank)

Rationale:
I like the combination of the Vengeful Porcupette and Wild Magic so I paired it with the Sen’Jin Fetish. I threw in the Tiny Bog Beast because I enjoy using it and Lash can also benefit greatly from Wild Magic. There’s no set plan here so there’s some freedom on what I can start with. Against a valk I’ll start with the Vengeful Porcupette. Against a DAH I’ll probably do the same. I haven’t faced a lot of adders with it but I have had some success.

Concerns:
Without a top pet I’m not feeling secure. One of these pets will have to step up.

The Opposing Team:
P/P Murkalot
P/P Blackfuse Bombing
P/P Rotten Little Helper

The Battle:
It’s another late and tired night so I’ll do it the lazy way:

081214BRound 1: Clobber (the Rotten Little Helper)
Round 2: swap to Sen’Jin Fetish
Round 3: Flame Breath/Booby-Trapped Presents
Round 4: swap to Murkalot/Wild Magic
Round 5: Righteous Inspiration/Flame Breath
Round 6: Armageddon
Round 7: Wild Magic/Cal Blizzard
Round 8: Flame Breath/Ice Lance (fetish to 0 hp)
Round 9: Booby-Trapped Presents/Sear Magic

On that round I “lost” the coin toss so I went last and was able to cleanse the Booby-Trapped Presents. Really this was the deciding factor in the battle. Thanks rng.

081214ARound 10: Lash (helper died)
Round 11: Clobber
Round 12: Lash (x3)
Round 13: Lash (x3)/Blessed Hammer
Round 14: Righteous Inspiration/Lash (x1)
Round 15: swap to Vengeful Porcupette/Falling Murkalot (porc died)
Round 16: Lash (x2)
Round 17: Clobber
Round 18: Lash (x2) (Murkalot died)

The poor Vengeful Porcupette only got to be fodder for an RI’d Armageddon and a Falling Murkalot. I didn’t do a great job of anticipating but the round nine coin toss was enough to get the victory.

Nice win, good thing you got those presents cleared. This is a team I often run but with the H/S Bog beast, 289 speed gives a slight edge against 260 speed pets. But I definetly can see use of 289 power instead.

Clobber was about the only defense against RI to avoid the Armageddon. But I think you did very well to win that despite RI+Armageddon went off

Nevermind what I wrote about bog beast breed. I mixed it up with the porcupette breed. So this is exactly one of my favourite teams.

Nice! I also started using the Tiny Bog Beast to counter RI/Kovok before the nerf. It’s a handy pet, especially since I replaced my H/P with an H/S. I like that it has a multiple attack in Lash and a harder hitting attack in Rampage.

Why do Murkalot teams always throw away their bomblings without letting the bombling do a bit of damage first?

Just seems like a massive waste, even if the RI’d Armageddon is huge.

Hey there! Nice blog you got here

What do you consider a “top pet” and a top team/teams right now? I am running valkyra BB /death adder hatchling SS / warbot PP right now, but after ~500 wins with the same team I am getting bored. I am looking for a team with very high win rate. Not interested in teams that are “fun” but don’t win often, because for me fun is winning.

I would consider the top pets Jademist Dancer, S/S Death Adder Hatchling, S/S Fiendish Imp, P/P Warbot, H/H Spirit Crab, Unborn Val’kyr, P/P Emperor Crab and Anubisath Idol. For top teams I would say clonedance or an imp/fetish combo.
