The Quick Three

Battle 1: A Dreadful Encounter
Droplet Of Y’Shaarj, Scourged Whelpling, Snarly
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Kun-Lai Runt, Blue Clockwork Rocket Bot

042714AThis isn’t the first time that I’ve seen someone use Unholy Ascension on the first round. Do they misunderstand how it works? Did they forget to load Haunt there instead? Maybe they thought that was the best way to deal with a Dreadful Breath team. For whatever reason this person sacrificed all 1806 hp for a 25% damage buff. The battle then became a two versus three. Even with Dreadful Breath being less effective against two pets the win still came quite easily.
Record: 1-0

Battle 2: Spanksgiving
Highlands Turkey, Spirit Crab, Scalded Basilisk Hatchling
vs. Celestial Dragon, Chrominius, Lil’ Tarecgosa

042714BWho the hell runs three dragonkin? I’ve faced this team a few times in the past few days and it’s been laughably easy to beat. Unfortunately in this battle my turkey was completely ineffective when it came to doing damage. In the end I came within 18 hp of the victory but the Celestial Dragon was able to get off a heal then cast Moonfire. It’s always sad losing to Chrominius, I don’t know why. Perhaps because I think of it as a PvE pet. Oh well, losses happen.
Record: 1-1

Battle 3: Mean Joe Green
Flayer Youngling, Robo-Chick, Spirit Crab
vs. Unborn Val’kyr, Emperor Crab, Lil’ Tarecgosa

042714CAt least I got one dragonkin to get revenge on. I didn’t really like my chances heading into this one, that Emperor Crab was going to be hard to deal with. Luckily it didn’t have Surge or Shell Shield so I was able to do a decent job against it with the Flayer Youngling. I used the Spirit Crab to soak the Haunts. I had a really close call with the Spirit Crab surving the last Haunt tick with only 1 hp to spare. If the crab would have died the result may have been different so this battle was a lot closer than it seemed at the end.
Record: 2-1
