Game 1 (Acid Thrash)
Corefire Imp, Shimmershell Snail, Scalded Basilisk Hatchling
vs. Gilnean Raven, Feline Familiar, Ghostly Skull

080813EThis one was close. At the end the Raven in play had about 507 hp, the Feline less than 200 hp while my Basilisk in play had around 100 hp and my Imp had roun 600 hp. Darkness and Ascension were up, my Crystal Prison was on CD. It looked bleak. I Feigned, knowing I would need my Prison to win this one. The Imp comes in to take some hp off before dying. But it misses. Darkness, please take a look at my middle finger. The Imp dies so now I’m even worse off. I Prison the Raven and now all my opponent has to do is swap in his sacrificial Feline, when the Raven comes out I’ll need two attacks to kill it. But it stays in, allowing me the attack while it’s Prisoned and the first attack of the next round. Even with week attacks that was enough to take out the Raven. Nothing’s certain in Darkness, but I managed to hit the Feline for the win.

Game 2 (Bleeding Blight)
Blighted Squirrel, Snarly, Infested Bear Cub
vs. Chuck, Infested Bear Cub, Amber Moth

080813AWell it finally happened. I’ve won enough games with Snarly and the Cub that now others are using it. Imitation, flattery, whatever, I’m facing my current Tryout #4 team. There was a lot of swapping with me trying to avoid the strong Flying attacks, but finally I had to give in and take Moth Dust in order to BITW the Moth. That and a Surge was enough to finish it. It took my Undead turn to pull off the win.

Game 3 (Crabby Smacker)
Spirit Crab, Scalded Basilisk Hatchling, Crimson Geode
vs. Gilnean Raven, Feline Familiar, Ghostly Skull

080813CWhile Crystal Castle is still my favorite team to play, this one is approaching the top as well. My two favorite pets the Basilisk and Spirit Crab along with a generally fun but risky Geode makes an interesting team. This wasn’t as close as Game 1 versus this team, even with a crucial miss from my Crab. The Geode thankfully hit both Feedbacks versus the Raven.

Game 4 (The Hard Call)
Warbot, Snarly, Infested Bear Cub
vs. Pandaren Fire Spirit, Giant Bone Spider, Fiendish Imp

My opponent started with the Spirit instead of the Imp to start off, good call anonymous person. From there I had to play catch up. My Bear missed, which turned out to be the difference in the game. His Pandaren Earth Spirit survived with 19 hp. Even though the miss helped determine the outcome I felt it was well-played by my opponent. Good games like this are always welcome, just not in Challenge Mode. Just kidding.

Game over.

Final Score: 3
