Game 1 (Total Thrash)
Scalded Basilisk Hatchling, Fiendish Imp, Warbot
vs. Lil’ Ragnaros, Wildhammer Gryphon Hatchling, Lil’ KT

081613AThe Basilisk started as usual. My opponent did a good job of putting in the Flyer versus the Thrashes. There was a healthy amount of swapping going on but my speed and swap got the best of my opponent. This was a Conflagrate Rag instead of the more potent Trap/Sons Rag.

Game 2 (Ratty Dread)
Robo-Chick, Black Rat, Scourged Whelpling
vs. Tiny Harvester, Effervescent Glowfly, Creepy Crate

081613DWhile not a top tier competitive team, this team is turning into one of my current favorites to use. Plagued Blood, Poison Fang, and Batter work really well together. The Robo-Chick used Overtune against the Glowfly to outspeed it making it less effective. Wind-Up/Overtune/ Wind-Up is a nice combo against Flyers. Releasing a Wind-Up on a fragile bird can really mess it up. It won’t take it to less than half hp on its own, but it’ll get pretty close.

Game 3 (Fountain of Filth)
Black Rat, Infected Squirrel, Filthling
Netherspace Abyssal, Crow, Pandaren Earth Spirit

081613CA fast and strightforward battle. Rat takes out Netherspace Abyssal and most of the Earth Spirit (thanks to a Crush miss). The Squirrel finished of the Spirit and the Crow. While I won’t start running around telling everyone to use a Rat, it is having a pretty good night.

Game 4 (Ninja Scroll)
Emerald Turtle, Infected Squirrel, Nether Fairie Dragon
vs. Sinister Squashling, Leopard Scorpion, Dancing Water Skimmer

This was a very close one. The Scorpion was able to catch me by surprise by holding off using its speed buff against my Dragon until it was too late to do anything about it. I was down to 300 hp, I had a Dot on my Dragon, I was slower so I couldn’t Dodge, there wasn’t much I could do. A nice surprise from my opponent. The Turtle did a great job, hitting all of its Emerald Bites and getting a kill shot Head Butt in for the win.

Game 5 (Aqua Teens)
Mirror Strider, Purple Puffer, Emperor Crab
vs. Pandaren Water Spirit, Unborn Val’kyr, Infinite Whelpling

081613FWhen you run a team with three of the same family you better hope you don’t get any counters. Not only were there no Fliers, but my Aquatics were a hard counter to the Elemental and a soft counter to the Undead. Without any avoidance I had to take the Root/Stun combo from the Water Spirit. This was a close one due to me missing some key attacks. In the end the Purple Puffer was just too much for the Elemental.

Game 6 (Spudboy’s Pleasure)
Scalded Basilisk Hatchling, Spirit Crab, Sen’Jin Fetish
vs. Arctic Fox Kit, Gregarious Grell, Scourged Whelpling

081613GThat Fox did some serious strong damage to my Undead, but the Basilisk was able to come in and clean up at the end. I didn’t get a chance to use my Sear Magic, which makes taking the Sen’Jin Fetish over other more powerful Undead a waste, but you never know what you’re gonna get when you queue.

Game 7 (The Hard Call)
Warbot, Snarly, Infested Bear Cub
vs. Blighthawk, Clockwork Gnome, Lil’ KT

That’s funny, I bring out one of my “go-to” teams for win seven and lose. I let Snarly die too early, I got stuck with my Bear against the non-Bleeding Gnome and the Gnome won.

Game over.

Final Score: 6
